Carol Journey, a 21-year-old who grew up in Haysville, has been chosen to be in the new season of CBS's reality TV show "Big Brother."
She had to forgo her first season as a Kansas City Chiefs cheerleader to do it, her father, state Sen. Phil Journey, said.
A junior in the University of Kansas business school, Carol Journey will join 13 other contestants, including Haysville native Jessica Hughbanks, a member of the Wichita Thunder's dance team, when the show premieres at 7 p.m. Thursday.
