How does a Big Brother Double Eviction Week Work?
Here's how it's worked in the past in terms of Double Eviction Weeks...
Only one of Zach's nominees will go home on Thursdays Live Show.
Following that eviction, we will either have a very rushed week of play within the one hour show: HoH, Noms, Veto, Vote, Buh Bye Stunned Houseguest.
Or... they may just have The HoH Comp and then the vote immediately, with no opportunity for Veto...
They've done it both ways in the past.
Playing for Veto is not guaranteed in the rules...
No matter what happens, you really can't miss another minute of the live feeds this season! It's down to the final moments, folks.
Treat yourself to the 2 weeks free!

In past weeks this is how it's been done. Now I don't know if it was a typo on the prompter, just Julie's slip up or may very well possibly be both on the block going home. Julie said that there would be 2 people evicted from the house at the end of the live show on thursday. We shall see :-)
Do the HG know it is a double elimination?
anon@10:08am - the hgs don't know it's a double evict-week, and that's the beauty of it.
Janelle was an HoH in a double evict-week but i can't remember which season... S6?
Also in the past a double eviction week has been where a nominee went home on thurs., HOH is played, then 2 noms are made, fri. is the POV, and sun. is the eviction. so the HOH only has the week for like 3 nights. and sun. another HOH comp. is played and then mon. is noms, etc..... I have seen this take place a few times in BB history. yes, janelle was HOH during a double elim. week, but i can't remember if that was last year or the year before.
They had two doubles last year. The second was to move up the finale date for BB7 last year. The first was right after Marci got evicted and became the first jury member. Chicken George won the question comp about who was the smartest, etc. HE replaced one of his nominees with Howie and Howie left that Saturday. Jani cried all night. The 2nd was when Janelle won HOH right after Danielle was voted out when Erica was HOH and replaced one of her nominees with Danielle. Janelle won and put up Chicken George and Erica, Erica won the rope untwist veto. that was the veto comp when Will broke his thumb and should have won. Jani replaced Erica with Boogie and Chicken George got voted out all in the same night.
Janelle also had to do a rush nomination in BB6 right after Kaysar got booted by Jennifer and she had won HOH. She put up Maggie and Jennifer and Jennifer became the first member of BB6 jury.
I think the more interesting question, though, has got to be how is this going to affect America's Player? They already said he gets to play for himself once the house is down to 4, but there's no way they can get votes on Thursday before the 6 gets knocked down to 4 with the double elimination, so I guess that means we're giving Eric his last task (who to evict) tonight. After this, he can go after Dick and Danielle without worrying that we'll force him to vote the other way. Should be interesting.
I didn't realize that about Eric. That definately changes things a bit should he get to stay another week.
Unfortunately, I might have been wrong about this actually. I was told that he'd get to vote for himself from final four on, but that's not quite right. Instead, the America's Player voting period extends until Wednesday, Sept 12, which under normal circumstances, should have been the final 4, but with the double eviction week, that's actually going to make it the final 3. Things should still be crazy this week since he should still get to use his own discretion for the second eviction on Thursday, but then he's at our mercy again for the following week. Should still be interesting.
i think it would be awesome if whoever got eliminated got to pick another person to be eliminated along with them! that would change things up a bit, and break up the father/daughter alliance!
what could make it more interesting is if they told them before they voted that was going to happen, but only right before they vote!!
Why,in late night Showtime, was Danielle and Dick allowed to go into the backyard and view construction of the challenge? She went to the washer/dryer and he went out to smoke. Then, they discussed (in the kitchen) the challenge and how she will prevent Eric from getting the balls and Dick will play to win. The plan is to destroy the game for Eric by interference from Danielle while Dick powers ahead. How did this happen and how can this action meet the rules?
