America Chose Dustin

Here's Eric's almost perceivable nod to his America's Player Task, starting around 2:15am BBT. Jess and Eric are in agreement that Amber is a horrible player.

The first minute of this clip is a split quadcam between Jess/Eric & Dick/Dani, after that it's all Eric and Jess, and the beginning of Eric bringing the spotlight onto Dustin and Amber for a blip in time...

Per usual, Eric only gives the task a cursory attempt. Par for the course at this point.

This second video starts with Eric and Jess talking about Zach and his oddness... Eric's slowly leading into the task at hand, discussing everyone, in order to deflect attention off the task, and Zach leads Eric into Dustin and how even he was buddy-buddy with Dick this past week.

The third video picks up where #2 left off, still primarily focused on Zach, but peppering the conversation with Dustin references.

I hope Jessica puts up Dick and Daniele to be evicted and no matter who wins the veto, one of them are going home....YAY

This will just prove that Eric is not "America's Player" when he dosent push to get Dustin on the block. He is playing for himself. CBS better inforce him to. They already look bad based on the comments about the DR getting them to keep Eric.

Eric's pathetic...he is given a task and doesn't even try to complete it. It has become a joke now, the only thing we are doing is casting his vote for him on Thursdays.

I agree. Eric needs to get Dustin nominated at least. He was trying slowly to push him under the bus. But I don't get how his beef with Zach started. Why is he feeding Jess' ear with so much rubbish about him. I would love to see Zach and Dustin nominated and Dani, Dick or Jen to win POV and does not get used. And then Dustin is voted out...that would be awesome.

Jes would rather have Dani leave than Dick...which is a better move on her part though.

seems to me that he is trying to do what america asked, just cautiously. he has to try to protect himself a little, people, give him a break.

Eric is trying to get Dustin nominated with the same amount of effort he used to influenced the houseguests to vote out Kail and keep Nick. (zero effort!)

Not doing as America wants is what got him in trouble last time, and it'll happen again this week...

mark my word!

CBS certainly must not count this as a completed task. Even in the best light, Eric's efforts to fulfill this mission are half-heartedly lackluster.

This is not the first task which Eric has intentionally bungled. And this is why America continues to dislike him.

Eric is not playing for America.

The producers must now get involved, and remind Mister I'll-Do-That-For-A-Dollar that his efforts need to be less pathetic if he wants to collect his bonus.

By the way, let's not forget that there is a missing task, when Eric was commissioned to flatter a fellow houseguest. America voted for Dick (I believe) yet the task never aired.

"Per usual, Eric only gives the task a cursory attempt. Par for the course at this point."

So not fair and so not true. Eric has made a solid attempt at most of his tasks. Yeah, he didn't try to get Kail out instead of Nick and yeah he didn't try to get Jameka to not use the veto (but really, her mind was so made up anyway it wouldn't have worked.)

But other than that he's tried at most of his tasks. Some were even out of his control to complete.

He is playing for himself.

Obviously he is playing for himself.

It's $500,000

Tell me you wouldn't do the same, and you're a liar, just like all the rest of them (which you guys seem to hate sooooooooo much.)

Me Personally this is one task I would purposly not complete! It puts him at risk with the majority! Shame on America for throwing him under the bus!

No offense, but most of America has got a bug up its ass!! I am wholeheartedly rooting for Eric, and giving him a task of voting out Dustin (the player who single-handedly saved him from eviction this past week) is a ridiculous request. America should be ignored when making such a ludicrous vote. He is playing for his own interest obviously, and for America's when it will not crush his own chances of staying in the house. No one would do any different, and they are lying if they say otherwise. IMHO, he is doing the best he can with the hand he's been dealt (especially with the damn banner incident). GO ERIC & JESS to the final 2!!!
Mike.

Eric only made a half hearted attempt to get Dudtin Nom. so that CBS could show only that part of his conversation. It will be the same old edit job. It is becoming more clear this game is not the game everyone thinks it is.. How disappointing..

Here's whats gona happen (And I wish it didnt but I bet you it will)

The Nerd Herd will get, Dick, Jen and Zach out of house. Try to get Daniele on their side. When she rufses they will send her out too. THen Eric will start to turn on them and they will realise they were wrong and it will be too late.

---------
Here is what I want to happen
Next week Zach or Dick goes home. Double eviction week. Daniele or Jen get's HOH puts up Dustin and Eric or Dustin and Amber as long as Dustin is on the block. This way no matter who gets the veto one of the terd herds will be on the block.

Mike - Here's the thing - he's America's Player, per the contract, he represents us. It is his job/duty to represent us in the game. Not the other way around.

Like others who are elected to do the same and choose not to, many people are disenchanted with him.

Eric can't push hard for Dustin to go this week because it would be ... um ... STUPID?

And I don't remember people on here whining and crying because he didn't get Jen to put up Jessica and get her out in week two. Jeez.

Oh, and I LOVE Eric's impression of Zach!

Very good point. What DID happen to that task?

I agree wholeheartedly with Shame on America.

He is competing for $500,000

You guys are WATCHING A SHOW.

The money could change his life. But you guys seriously expect him to throw that away just so YOUR TV watching experience is more enjoyable.

To be honest, some of you are still trying to avenge Nick, which is silly, and pointless, and if you're STILL thinking about Nick, seek help .. get some real life friends/relationships.

And for everybody whos hating on Dustin because he lies,

HELLO!?!?!?! Everybody lies! It's part of the game. Name one person who hasn't lied. You can't.

courtney - when has ED lied in this game?

~~

i'm surprised no one in the house has spoken about how much eric has changed since the first banner flyover. he has gone from complete clown to uber-dark.

that was a powerful HoH comp that dani won - with the banner and the balance of power and all. completely changed the mood of the house.

as for AP - it's my understanding that eric would be paid $2k for each completed task, but that he wasn't required to complete them.

he had been pretty affable about it all until 'the change' happened.

first post - rock on.

lie.

I realize this is a blog so bias does occur and its your right to say and write whatever you want. but people come here for updates on bb8 so i think it would be good to just report what has happened without tilting the scenerio to one side by reporting unfairly. we already get enough biased reporting just watching bb8. thus i have to read several blogs to find out the truth.

Am hoping for confirmation on that statement.

Though it must be true, as he didn't complete the get into bed with Joe one, and a couple others, and was not punished.

So why do you push so hard that he's supposed to be doing all of our dirty work? In the end he really is playing for himself, just like everyone else.

Sorry for being obnoxious, as I know that was .. I was shocked. Your blog has always led me to believe that he really did HAVE to complete the tasks.

Eric is Eric's player. If it can get him some more money he will do what America wants and then talk his way out of any ackward situations with the other houseguests. The fact that he can come away unscathed after the lashing Amber gave him is proof that these people will believe ANYTHING that comes out of his mouth.

Shame on America for throwing under the bus? Shame on Eric for being a greedy putz who will throw any and everyone under the bus who gets in his way as he tries to win $500,000+ dollars. Money can't buy respect. He doesn't deserve any respect. I wonder how his family feels watching him. I'd be embarrassed.

Some of your comments are insane. How can anyone be in favour of Dick staying? He has attacked people's religion, race, sexual orientation, and sexually harasses many of the women on the show. CBS should be held accountable for allowing Dick to do this. No wondered Danielle didn't talk to him for five years. Eric shouldn't have to follow America's requests when they are so stupid. Anyone who is supports Dick should be ashamed of themselves. He is an embarrassment to have on television. I hope he is gone this week and Eric doesn't listen to America's stupid requests.

Anonymous, regarding writing just updates instead of talking about our opinions that, unfortunately, would not be a blog. Many of us LOVE this blog and we like how it is arranged. Many of us have been coming to this blog for a very long time and we do not all agree but we manage not to insult each other or Carla and Carolyn. It is very sad when they get criticized as I know first hand how much work, goes into running this blog 24 hours a day. Therefore, to all of you out there please have some respect.

Funny, everything we heard about Eric is, he has studied every season of BB to be the "greatest" player. At first he seemed very smart had great potential. Now it seems he really does not get the game.

Had "the DR people" not told house guests to keep Eric (pure BS if you ask me), so they could continue to make money off him (text messages etc), we would not be having this debate. Eric should have gone home. America said so! (Shame we could not have cast a vote to evict.)

America starts sending him clues with the tasks he has to perform. He ignores those messages. Then sits and makes comments about what America must be thinking that are false.

Dick's name has never been on one of those tasks...um for a reason..most of America likes Dick and his game play. Eric is not smart to not see that.

When America choose to keep Nick (I for one not a fan of Nick, not a hater either, just not a fan)and Eric did not complete the task or even try I saw the real nature of this AP. The point is Eric did not see America's message in keeping Nick. He missed it. It went over his head. (Then flying banners saying "we love Nick" "Keep Nick" etc..)He felt threatened by Nick and it was a pure ego thing. Why in the world would he mimic everything Nick did including cutting his hair. (Which was plain stupid) and compare himself to him or best yet on eviction night when Julie said you look like Nick's little brother he comes back with "no more like his son" EGO...hello! I'll tell you why..plain male jealousy. He in his mind thinks "America Loves Me"...when he got the keep Nick message from America he was mad, jealous, he was not what he thought he was to America so he threw a hissy fit and from then on has been a complete a-hole. (Um Eric no banners flew over the house saying "KEEP ERIC" did they??) See my point?

Now, Dustin..He makes my blood boil and needs to go and if America's player does not do his job with this task I vote we ALL send Eric a brick to the head the rest of his stay there. Screw him with every request they have for AP..he doesn't deserve that bonus money if he isn't going to follow his agreement...and CBS needs to stop running promo's saying he is working for YOU America..clearly he is not.

To the person who said we viewers are stupid for messing things up for Eric for our viewing pleasure??? WTF? That is what Eric signed up for. He signed a contract and agreed to the America Players thing. It was his choice..he could have said no I'm playing my own way. He said yes so he could make more money. Well the show is asking their viewers to make it more enjoyable by bringing us in. They want us to do just what we are. And btw this blog is a small representation of the viewers. If America chose Dustin to go it is America who did it, not just the bloggers here. Come on? Are you for real? The show has millions of viewers most who don't see feeds, After Dark or read blogs. they want Dustin out because they don't like him. No other reason or grand plot!

And as for Dick..I love Dick! He is a real person just being himself. He has been the same person from day one. What you see is what you get and he is that way in his "real" life..That is what I admire about him. He is just being himself and has outlasted many players so far just being himself.. No one says you have to like it. I like it. He is very "real" and it is a "reality" show. Dick is the best thing to happen to Big Brother. The most interesting of them all. He is not a liar. He maybe an a-hole but he is not a liar. He is also very intelligent. He is really only there to spend time with his daughter. I don't think once I heard him say he was planning to stay to win the money. He doesn't even try to win money..he only tries to win more time in the house with his daughter. All of his move since day one were to keep himself there to be with her not make it to the end. Does he seem like he wants the money? Uh NO! If he was to win great just remember that is not why he is there. He will do what ever it takes to stay again for his daughter.

1234 Insane to favor Dick?
Are you not seeing what a LARGE part of America sees? There are more Dick supporters than haters my friend...read more blogs and personal sites and you'll see it. But my biggest proof that Dick is "loved" by America...I refer to the millions of viewers who not once told "America's Player" to do anything negative to Dick..not once has Dick been the target. So it seems to me there are more Dick lovers in America than haters. Who's insane? Ashamed? pulease..its TV dude..and I proudly support Dick and want him to win he is my favorite..not embarrassed to say it to you or any other person. It is after all a tv reality game show with a prize at the end. It's also a social experiment. People who sign up for those shows sign a paper a legal contract saying "I am your guinea pig now let's play, experiment on me, for money". Come on..

To the creators of this blog...Thank you. I love reading your comments, opinions, and watching your video's to see what I missed. This is a great blog.

and for those who don't know:
Blog is short for weblog. A weblog is a journal (or newsletter) that is frequently updated and intended for general public consumption. Blogs generally represent the personality of the author or the Web site. It is not a news site. It's a place for the author(s) to express their opinions.

I love the personalities here and look forward to reading your stuff. Keep it just as it is! Anyone wanting news needs to go to news websites not a blog.

Thanks again.
