Big Brother Producer Allison Grodner says Samantha is an Alternate
Over the past couple days, the BB lovin' world has been abuzz over Samantha. We covered her in our rumors blog, since we couldn't figure out what to make of her, and she wasn't included in the original cast list. WeLoveBigBrother interviewed Allison Grodner, and got the goods. Here's the deal:
- Grodner addressed the latest internet rumors swirling about a female houseguest named Samantha. Samantha was seen on TV Guide during an interview with this year's cast, leaving some to believe she was the 15th houseguest.
"We always have alternates each year," Grodner said. "So it's something where there's always an extra person and since we don't know till just before the move in to the big brother house exactly if the alternate will make it in or not, sometimes they put the alternate out there and release the alternate to the press."

cant say i remember hearing of an alternate of any reality show getting this much attention.
this isn't any reality show.
this is big brother ;)
I am going to have to agree with Terry...in all of the BB seasons, no 'alternate' has been stated...but we also must keep in mind that this is the world of the information highway, and the highway seems to get the info before people even think about it...lol
So, my humble opinion? Something up in the BB HOUSE!!

ok, grodner has proved to us over the last two seasons that she's a little stinkin liar so i'm takin anything she has to say with a grain of salt, lol.
