Jessica was America's Choice for him to ignore. He's feigning illness to explain his absence.
The video below, captured by xx2000xx, has Eric in the Storage Room at 3:45am BBT, talking to Production, confirming the vote. He received his orders, then stayed talking to Jessica for over 30 minutes, creating an illness alibi for why he will be ignoring her for the next little while. He's peeved, because she invited him to spend the night up there with him, and him not being able to spend extra time with her right before the veto ceremony is "wrong on so many levels."

Eric is a LOOSER. He is not AMERICA PLAYER. CBS needs to do something about this. I think for everytime he dosent try, CBS should take back some of his winnings.
And for all of those who think we AMERICAN'S are trying to ruin his game try to remember this, WE, AMERICAN'S, Voted for him to play this way. He is playing for us and this is how WE want him to play.
Since the last days of Nick, he has not been playing for us. He is playing for himself, and that would be find if he was one of the others, BUT HES NOT. Hes America's Player and we have spoken!!!
This American did not vote Jessica.

I love that he could not stay with Jessica. That makes it better. I was upset that it was not one of the others, but that put a smile on my face this morning.
Well, I was more going for the fact that we are voting this way, in all the voting. I did not vote for Jessica myself this round, I voted for Jen. This was just in anger that people think we are messing with Eric this way. Hes the player for us.
I think with this vote, people did not think as smart as they should have. Just thought that going after her was a smart move.
Like it matters. He has had 2 or so days do try to get her to put up Dustin and Im sure he has not tried. He got the results this morning and the veto is today. Now today he is playing sick. Oh Brother!
I dont think it matters anyway. Eric has just laid the groundwork to spend time in bed today and not talk to anybody today be pretending to be sick!
I am pretty sure that that is not the way CBS or America intended his "SILENT TREATMENT" to be accomplished!
On the live feeds, He told Jessica he was sick and going to his bed passing up sleeping with her (GOOD, I would have vomited in my mouth had they got their freak on). He then goes to the storeroom and jokes and laughs for the production crew about getting there as fast as he could and he hopes they know he had to turn down a sleepover and that could have been beneficial in many ways! Of course they then cut to the blue swirl and then came back to him planting the same with the others.
That is a strait cop-out and I will be p*ssed off if that is what he does (plays sick and stays in bed all day and gives everyone the silent treatment so as nobody stands out) and still gets the task counted as completed!

I think it's a fair assumption that a lot of the voters are a bit peeved that Eric hasn't been so eager to try and complete tasks (unless they are relatively easy and something he'd attempt regardless). So it's a natural reaction to try and punish him and send a message.
Unfortunately, most casual viewers aren't aware they could have punished him, sent a message, AND used him to our benefit. Instead, their first instinct is to break him away from someone he's close with (who's also HOH). If they would have taken 5 minutes to chill the frick out and decide who'd be most useful to the cause, they'd have realized either Amber, Dustin, or Jen would've been better choices.
I have a feeling (due to the statement Eric made at the end of Sunday's show) that the producers are letting him know that he better start bringing it back into line with what we're telling him to do, or the America's Player poll results are just going to keep getting worse. But getting Jess pissed at him and not filling her head with Dustin's name, makes ejecting that jackass all the more difficult. Now we just have to hope Dustin gets real cocky before the nom ceremony.
Oh, I'm not disappointed in the least that he wasn't able to spend the night with her. But in order for us to utilize our vote for whomever we want nominated, he would have to talk to her. I know a lot of people voted him not to talk to her just out of spite...not thinking of how it would affect our vote. I understand he has had ample time to do his schmoozing to get Dustin up and out, but you know... he needs more than a gentle push...
I don't even think he's truly comprehending anything we've been telling him through our votes...
They should have better defined "silent treatment" then.
The people that voted for Jessica are just people that want to throw a monkey wrench in the whole deal and get Eric booted.
Plus, my man had to tell Jessica that he couldn't spend time in bed with her last night????? Come on, what could be worse punishment than that???????

I think the people who voted for Jessica were trying to send Eric a message. So far I don't see that Eric is realizing this.
I am increasingly disgusted with America.
And starting to understand why everyone I know thinks I'm a moron for watching this.

if you want to at least attempt to utilize "Am-ERIC-a's player" than the worst possible thing to do was to alienate him from Jessica the HoH who has the ability to put up Dustin. Now if Dustin doesn't get put up people will be even more mad at Eric, when you limited his ability to even attempt to accomplish his task (Not that he really would have anyway). I think CBS should clear things up and let people know exactly what Eric's contract stipulates with regards to his choices in the game. He would be better off ignoring all America's votes/tasks and trying to play his own game to win the $500K. He'll never earn that much by following the childish/spiteful tasks that America is giving him.
P.S. Eric just lost some cool points with me, because I don't care what America said, there is no way I would give up spending a night with cutie-pie Jessica for any amount of money. MIKE
For those who think Jessica was the wrong choice,.,.think about this...
Eric knows that America doesnt like Dustin as per the last vote. He probably also knows that if Dustin goes up as A replacement that America will vote for Dustin.
Do you all really believe Eric will keep pushing the vote for him knowing he'll probably get his vote? I don't believe that for A second. He's clearly shown A lack of enthusiam regarding America's choice and it not falling into his strategic gameplan.
By having him keep his mouth shut the final day before the POV ceromony he cant plant any seeds of doubt about anyone to Jessica (Who listens to Eric religiously) and thus hopefully she will stick to the plan of keeping Dustin as A replacement against Dick.
The second good reason is this vote sends a message to him that we think he's doing a terrible job as our voice in the game.
I completely disagree "perp", I think that if anything choosing Jessica lessens the likelihood that Dustin will go up as a replacement nominee. Secondly, I don't think Eric is wise enough to understand that the vote for Jessica was a punishment for him. If anything, he might feel that Jessica might not be completely trustworthy and America is trying to warn him. Mike
I disagree with the previous poster's final comment. Eric has shown a clearly disdain for the last few America's player choices. I don't think he'd see it as America thinking he should avoid Jessica... he's going to see it exactly the way we see it, that America is just making the game tough on him just to be difficult.
Who's cause are we trying to promote here. There are folks who don't want to see Eric kicked out because of having to do the things that end of being voted for... folks that are voting strictly to get him kicked out of the house... folks that are trying to vote in a way as to keep D & D in the house... some that are trying to get revenge on Eric for the Nick thing etc. Too many different scenarios and people with different agenda's. The people that are mad at him for whatever reason, are spending all their spare time voting so many different ways just to get the result they want, and if it doesn't go their way they say its rigged. Eric has gotten Jess to put Dustin as a replacement nominee, so he did complete that task. And now he is having to ignore Jess, it didn't say how he had to do it, just that he had to.
