Interesting...I wonder why they don't just let the HG's say what they want in the DR. Why does it have to be all scripted? Lame.

"Ok, tell us about how Chuckles the Clown came in last night and picked daisies."
Would he repeat that?
mrs. t - the conversation started with the dr woman telling dick there was a technical problem and he'd have to repeat his previous statement, then the feeds cut out again, then came back, and the audio was what i posted here...
as far as why does it "have to be scripted" - i don't believe it is. there are just certain ideas they want to make sure the HGs convey clearly...
anon#1 - not so much.
anon#2 - it was leaked to the live feeds. typically we don't hear the DRs at all.. this season, there've been quite a few leaks, intentional or unintentional... i belive the problem was technical in nature, and whether they know everything or not is irrelevant. the HGs still have to be the ones saying it in their DR sessions.
The producers can do anything they want, it's not a democracy, it's a television show.
The production people were having equipment problems, or something like that. Everything has to be properly filmed for editing and storyline.

See, that's how they do things! They secretly tell people what to say to the cameras and then they roll the cameras to catch them saying it like it's all their own thoughts and they show them playing cards saying "Why don't you pass the time by playing a little solitaire?" and next thing you know they're acting all glassy eyed and preparing to shoot the vice-president!
The DR people may just be getting the HGs to stress certain aspects, but there must be some manipulation going on; a day prior to Dustin getting the boot, Jen was complaining on BBAD that the DR person was challenging her voting decision and leading her to believe she was going against the house. While relating the experience, the BB voice in the sky chastised Jen for discussing her DR experience. Her words were, "I don't like it when people in the house are trying to influence my vote, and I'm not referring to houseguests."
I just watched the video of the HG playing spin the can---Jam really got into that! Could it be she has traded in the magic ping pong ball for a beer can??? LOL

Just to play devil's advocate...is it possible that they're not telling them WHAT to say, but just guiding them to focused statements that are good for tv?
What I mean is....for example, sit me in front of a camera, and tell me to talk about my day, and I would be all over the place. Obviously not good for tv. So if I'm blabbering all over the place, and the DR people say...ok, talk about how you (blah blah blah)...is it possible THAT is what's going on, and not that they are feeding them what to say, specifically?
I'm not saying I'm doubting the less than altruistic motives of TV producers lol just trying to see a possible other angle.
