They're Up!
The Big Brother 8 houseguests were awoken around 11am BBT, and were not on 24 hour lock down, as had been discussed last night.
They are, however on lock down (with the shades drawn) now, and are somewhat jokingly theorizing there may be another banner plane.
As of 11:50am BBT, Jen, Dick, Dani and Zach are all over the quad cam chatting amicably about HoH gift baskets, slop, etc. Just takin' it easy for a few minutes... they need this.

Hi Carolyn, I was away for the weekend so could you tell me. . . Ahhh what is with the bunny suits?
I'm torn about Eric. For having no control over his votes, I think he has been doing a good job of covering and deflecting. He clearly is a student of the game, and that makes him enjoyable to watch for me.
If Eric stays this week then D&D will be targeted according to the goings on right now. If that happens I see a long boring stretch ahead. If Kail stays the house seems more divided and more strategizing will be required.
I'm trying to watch the show as a game even though it's easy to get caught up in the emotion of it. (I still want someone to tell Amber to stop crying before they give her something to *really* cry about.)
Is it possible to play this game without emotions? Would it make for fun watching?
Who would have though Dick, Daniele, Jen,Zack and Kail would all be sitting around enjoying each others company?! Even more amazing is the fact that they are all contributing andlaughing together!
Daniele just brought up a great point to everyone, too bad some of the skeptical hg's were not around.. She has noticed since they put two and two together on Eric the planes stopped, until today when one flew over. As Daniele said, if they were wrong, the planes would have lept coming.
Very true Dani!
It sickens me to see Jen, Kail and Dani in the HOH. These people were sworn enemies until just a day or so ago. Dick did have a valid point when he said you have to adjust your alliances, but there's a BIG difference between adjustments and throwing the baby out with the bathwater.
The fact is Dick and his daughter acted more than a bit shady when they began to suspect Eric. They closed ranks and decided the fate of the house without their alliance. And then when they were ready to share it with someone they choose Jessica? Jessica?
As for Dani and her canonization of Nick that is just absurd. Her constant indecision about him, drove everyone in the house crazy and had him walking around wild-eyed. She can delude herself into blaming Eric and anyone else about her lack of trust for Nick but I believe in the end it boiled down to faithfullness or emotionally cheating on her boyfriend.
Sorry, realize that these particular subject areas were probably dicussed thoroughly but I lost the site link and just found it today! :-/
Hi Ben, Welcome back.
Perception really is everything. :)
That which makes me happy - people dropping their petty differences and being kind to eachother - doesn't do the same for others..
Ben -
It's a very smart play on D & D's part to break from the LNC and try to piece together enough votes on the other side. Even if they fail, Kail goes home. Which is great, because she's really a horrible player, can't be trusted, and seems brain-dead to what's going on 98% of the time.
Dick had it spot on when he said that the rest of the house put targets on D & D and Jen/Kail/Zach to deflect attention away from getting themselves nom'd. So why not align with the other targets and focus your attention on those that think they can skate through the whole game? If you don't, you extinguish each other and leave the non-players (Nerd Herd II) to win. Also, minus Zach, the new D & D alliance has most of the comp winners and could be fairly powerful the rest of the way.
It was a great move.. if they can hold it together.
