Happy Thursday BB Lovers
I say that as I sit here more than a little nervous and nauseous about the Live Show tonight and what it will bring. It all comes down to this. A few questions, the luck of the draw, and we'll have a final 2. Will it be Dick and Daniele, or will it be Dick and Zach? That's the only question that really matters. I really don't see another possible alternative, but as always, anything can happen, expect the unexpected and all that... Deep breaths.
Dick and Daniele were up all night chatting about the game, the houseguests, general Jedi training, and how Zach doesn't stand a chance. Daniele even came around to thinking it's best her dad does this comp... They went to bed just a few minutes ago, around 6am, which just adds to my nerves about the situation. How long and how late will BB let everyone sleep on a live show day?
Deep breaths... No matter who you're rooting for. Worrying about it wont help. What will be, will be. The great magic ping pong ball, and all that. ;)
No matter what happens tonight, this ending is a pretty sweet victory for anyone (and that's almost everyone) who wasn't rooting for "the (self-proclaimed) good people." Giving this jury the task of deciding between any of these 3 people to hand anywhere from 50-500k??? Now that's the icing on the cake!
We all have our favorites. Tonight they do battle. I wish them well.
For me personally, I want the fairytale ending. I want Daddy Dick to ride in there on his white horse tonight, and win this for his daughter. Not so much for her, but for him.
I also want to break the Janie curse. If Dick doesn't win, and Daniele is sent packing tonight, that'll make 3 seasons in a row with the top competitive female out at final 3.

Carolyn -- Nice post and start off to this day.
Have to say, I am absolutely not a Dick fan in this game. But, as a mother, I have said from day 1 that this man loves his daughter with all his heart. He would absolutely die for her. Hopefully one day she will realize this.
On the game side, I really want Zach to win. On a personal side, either one would be a victory in my heart. I understand Zach, as my son is very much like him. If you really got to know him, not weird, just socially inept, inapproate at times (it is actually a syndrome and a mild form of autism) and very misunderstood. A victory for him would be very personal and deeper than anyone could realize.
He has also been inappropriate, but for very different reasons. A victory for Dick would be just as you stated, coming in on the white horse and rescuing his daughter.
For these 2, tonight is bigger than the finale will be because it is very personal for their very own reasons. I wish they could both win this round.
Now, back to the game -- Go Zach!
I so agree...Dani (I don't care about her attitude or personal behaviour or what have you) was the best competitive player this season compared to Janelle in the past two seasons. Janelle never did make it past the Final 3 because she never won the Final HOH comps. I really hope that Dani does not have that same fate.
It really would be awesome to see both Daddy and Daugther fight this out at the end. Hopefully this experience may help strenghten their relationship. I really do wish them the best of luck and I hope that Dani realizes how much her father really cares about her and they can put aside their differences and start fresh outside the BB house.
On a side note, I would love to Dani and Nick get married and it be televised and Dick walking his daughter down the aisle.
(I really have no idea what this post was about...but it took an emotional turn and I am at work with tears running down my face. Gotta go to the washroom and touch up....Good morning all!!)
Is Dick really so much smarter than Zach? Based on what? I feel they have an equal chance tonight. I will ALWAYS be a BB 24-7/TV fan (this is the first year for me on live feeds) but I would REALLY like it if Zach won and got to choose 1 of the D's to take and one to leave behind. I would love to see the look on D/D if Zach can somehow win. I think Zach has a BIG fire in his belly and he REALLY wants to stuff the D's even if CBS stacks the deck against him.
I want to thank you SO MUCH for your coverage of BB. I happily stumbled across your site by accident one day, and have forwarded it to every BB fan I know. You are AWESOME!! As a BB addict, it's nice to know I can go to work, or even fall asleep then later come back to my computer and never have missed a single event in the house. THANK YOU!!
ok..So I am nervouse myself. WOW..Suprised but yet think it might be a blessing for D&D that Dick is playing. Everyone just thought Dani would beat Zach and if she didnt it would have been a bigger let down. This way we have Dick to step up and surprise us, like he did Tuesday night lasting as long as he did. GO DICK!!!!!
OH...my actual comment was going to be about D&D trying to break all the curses from BB history.
Firstly Dick needs to kick the curse that the winner of HOH part 1 ends up winning the entire HOH (except last season when Erika purposely lost to Boogie so that he could make the decision of whom to take to the F2 and not her).
Secondly Dani needs to prove that no curse can hold her back from making it to the F2. We don't want a Janelle episode here!

Yeah, im feeling nausious too. I hope that D&D win. They deserve it more than Zach does. I am just worried about Dick on this one because of the rough time he had with the first part. I think he should have thrown it to Daniele early on (of course i didnt see it), let her get her rest and whoop Zach! I dont agree with their tactics, but i think that D&D earned their place in the final 2 and i hope they get it.
btw...i think im getting a tiny crush on ED.

anon@6:55 - are you saying Zach has a mild form of Autism? I've been working in the disalbilty field for a long long time, so we can dispute telltail signs all day - but for crying out loud - Dick says he wants to "f--k Jen up the a-s until she bleeds," many of the girls make lude and personal penis comments (Amber even feeling some of the guys up), several of them claim they hope others die, and on and on, and Zach is the innapropriate one?
He's not as extroverted as the others and has interests other than beer, sports, and TV. That hardly makes him a person with a disability. Hey, if he did have one I would give him even more credit for being on the show - it would be amazing to have a person with a disability on the show (although all kidding aside, Amber had some real mental health issues).
But let's be fair to people with disabilities who have much more significant barriers - Zach does not have one. Being a little socially awkward in a sea of ultra extroverts hardly demonstrates any sort of disability. Besides, I don't even think he's all that socially awkward - he's just not your typical peronality type for a reality TV show.
I want the fairytale ending too.
I see it as Daniele being held captive in a deep dark dungeon and Zach has the key to her prison cell. Sir Evel Dick would as you said, ride on his horse to free Daniele from Zach's clutches by defeating him in the final part of the HOH showdown.
If Dick wins, Dani would be free.......and then win the game.
Wow, this one surprised me this morning. I thought for sure Dick would throw it to Danni. Dick and Zach up against each other, I am worried to be honest. I mean Dick was right behind Danni in that Veto competition we watched, so I hope he win this.
I do think BB curved the first comp towards Zach, however, I want to note I have always thought BB comps were curved to certain people at certain times through out the seasons, some times it works sometimes it does not. Zach did stick that out on his own; I am not trying to take that away from him.
I just think BB would want Zach to win first HOH because if everyone on live feeds saw Dick and Danni crush Zach in the first and 2nd part, then I think there would be a substantial amount of people from both fan base sides not watching the live show.
I agree with you Carolyn, I want Dick to win this last HOH, for one because he and Danni have been all out competitors and you always see them go out third. Will lied to everyone and everyone hated will and they still voted for him in the end. So I am hoping if it is Dick and Zach they still vote for Dick. It would also be nice to see those two come against the odds and make it to the final two together, because I have always felt because they came in there as father and daughter the odds were actually stacked against them, as Howie said last night.
PS. Either way, they have won something a lot more important hopefully, along with 50 grand at least for the Donatos.

And, remember what I said about wanting Dani to win? It was predicated on her winning her own way into the final two, something Janelle could not do either.

I would be seriously disappointed if Zach won tonight. Granted, if Zach laying low all season really was his game, then fine. But, what has really made me sour towards him this week, are the stupid comments he has made in arrogance at finally winning some competitions (I think due to the fact that there are less people to compete against - his odds have been better).
He is not the muscle, or any kind of mastermind. He did not take any kind of calculated risks to advance him in the game. He threw himself at people's feet "I'll vote however you want me to." And offered to be a puppet to people. I don't think this was mastermind strategy...it was more acts of desperation. I think the statement he made when he nominated Dick and Danielle last week was about the stupidiest comment anyone could ever make -- "You guys have dominated this game...and that's unfair." Are you kidding me!?!?? That's the ENTIRE point of this game. To dominant in challenges to maintain safety in the house.
I don't care about his social ineptness. I don't care that he wants to much Jessica's panties. Those things aren't what my dislike of him are all about. I just don't think he is worthy at all to be the winner of this game because he has not earned it.
I'll be rooting for Dick to win tonight so that Dick and Daniele can be F2 because they have hands down demonstrated consistent competitiveness throughout the game.

Anon @ 7:19 -- Sorry if I was not clear. I am not saying Zach has anything. I am saying my son does and I see some of the same personality traits. Not diagnosing Zach at all. He is what he is -- I just think I can understand what drives him and how he perceives things very differently than the "cool kids", which others often see as inappropriate.
Also, I was saying that Dick has been inappropriate. No excuses here, just for gameplay (which does NOT make it ok in my book).

Its Kent from BEAUMONT, TX. Just survived Hurricane Humberto! Ha i had NO IDEA there was a storm out in the gulf till yesterday morning. The eye crossed over me about 4am this morning and it was intense, my first true hurricane experience! Got lots of rain and wind...Nothing to bad, power never went out. Just a lot of down trees and such, good thing it didnt have time to form into a stronger storm. We are still trying to get over Hurricane Rita from 2 summers ago!
It was definately an experience...the joys of living next to the gulf of mexico!
Anyways...im very excited about tonight. The show will be interesting and Ill be on edge till julie says "congratulations Zach/Dich you are the final HOH" hahahaha! Well everyone have a great day!

I was thinking this morning... Not much has been said about the Coup d' Etat in the last few weeks.. I remember awhile back that it was rumored that Dick may have it.. If Zach does win the HOH tonight..Would it be great for Dick to finally play it, if it really does exist?? What a great final twist that would be!!

Kent! Congrats on your hurricane survival. I'm on a barrier island off the coast of FL, so trust me, I know from hurricanes... and feel Sooooo lucky to have not had any come close this year.. 2 years ago, within 4 or 5 weeks, we had Katrina, Rita, Wilma... bam bam bam... ENOUGH!
I think if Dick and Dani competed together then Dick would have thrown the comp her way. I feel as though it was one of those comps were you play individually in the backyard or where ever. And then maybe the person with the highest score or best time wins. As a result they would not have known how to throw that comp. OR else I am positive that Dick would let his daughter have it.
But I am hoping to see Dick win and then do his victory dance in front of Zach. I would love to see that moment. I have been fantasizing about it all morning at work.

anon @6:55am - i think i know what you're trying to say about Zach and your son. i, too, have a 15-y/o son who is similar to Zach in some ways. i'm not sure if you're talking about asperger's syndrome, but that's the condition my son has.
the final 3 have played the game in their own ways. a combination of luck, skills and cunningness. whoever wins is deserving, but i am for the Ds. have been since day 1. a lot of people may not like them, but for us who do, that's because we "see" beyond their words. we also want a fairytale ending. we want to see them mend their fractured relationship. and with that i say, go Dick & Daniele!

I'm sooo nervous about tonight. Dick and Daniele have been my favorites since Day 1. I honestly hope they get to the Final 2. That would be my abs. favorite F2 in the history of this show.
Honestly, Daniele deserves it. Sooo much more than anyone else. I'm sick of people commenting on her attitude and whining. So freaking what. Every freaking girl whines. You're lucky I wasn't in there or I'd be 100% worse. lol. I'd be a mix between that and Dick. Hahaha. But yeah, the girl is tied with JANELLE! for most wins in a season. How awesome is that? She deserves this.
Bush is due to come on air at 9pm eastern. Fingers crossed, the network will not cut away from BB earlier than necessary.

Being able to keep up the the day to day activities in the house makes the game even more exciting. I have a few friends that said at the beginning of the season that it ruined the live shows, but now they are just addicted to the site as I am. Thanks again an I hope you continue to do this year after year. You all are awesome and thank you for all of the hard work that you have put in this season!!
Cai -- That is exactly what my son has. Just touches my heart when they are made fun. They are not weird serial killers or stalkers, just see things very differently from most. My son is in his late 30's and doing great! Same hopes for your son.

B&E -- If Dick winning is what it takes for Dani to keep talking to him, better that he not win. If this is truly the case, it will only happen again and I would rather his heart not be broken over and over. Just let it happen and be done with.
It is obvious that Dick loves his daughter and also obvious the Dani is holding back from him. It is hard to watch but I am sure there are reasons behind her actions. As much as we think we know these people, we really don't. We don't know the history in this relationship. I hope that the show brings them together and helps them to realize their likenesses and positive attributes.
With Dick's abusive talk it does not help the relationship. And Dani egging him on is what he has taught her through his actions. If Dick wants a relationship with his daughter he needs to grow up and stop the abuse.
The show is showing them how they can actually get along and work together. I hope this is a starting point to help them in the future. The real prize of the game is for them to have the daddy daughter relationship they both need.
anon @8:05am - my son is doing well in school - academically, but struggling socially. it's hard enough being a teenager, but harder when you're an aspie. it is tough on him and tougher for me. as a mom, you always want to be able to protect your child...

Again re: Zach - I think my problem with speculating that Zach has Aspergers (or even tendencies) is that in the eyes of people who don't understand these disorders it can minimize the real challenges people face. In many cases "disability" is a matter of degree. We all have tendencies of one kind of another. Eric seems to display some OCD traits (fear of poision), some have said Dick does as well (cleaning - although personally I didn't see it). Amber clearly has psychiatric concerns. I could go on and on.
We all have traits that if risen to a certain level would be a diagnosable "disorder" or "disease." It's not that I feel the need to protect Zach, but rather not present to the general public the impression that people living with disabilities don't have much more significant challenges. I see that Zach has slightly awkward social skills, but most of us do in our own ways. No one is "normal."
Please, don't get me wrong, I'm not upset and I think this is an interesting side conversation - but it's a balance to teach the public that disabilities are both serious and real, but don't! make anyone a "freak."
And I'm not accusing anyone! Just having a conversation!!
no it wasn't a bad slip or anything. My fingers are just shaking soo much over tonights HOH competition. If DICK doesn't win I think I will cry and I haven't cried since Janelle lost out on the final 2 two years in a row.

Carolyn, if you're talking about the East coast link so the West coasters can watch the TV show early, it doesn't get posted till almost 5 PM (PST) and they post a user name and password with it. It's on jokersupdate.
Last time I got locked out. If more than 1,000 people get into it then it slows the show down to the point that it looks like a slide show and the owner locks it. I imagine tonight it's going to be as gut wrenching a race to get into as tonights show. Oh, the show IS shown again at 10 PM (PST).
I've been D&D all the way. Even if only one of them wins, I pray that it does not effect their relationship adversely. They've come pretty far relationshipwise in the game and I'd hate to see it unravel. It's like this:
Winner of BB8: $500,000.
Second Place: $50,000.
Father & Daughter reconciled: Priceless

I want the Dick or Dani to win but I get nervous about the prospect of the money ruining their lives and their relationship. Kinda like what happens to people who win the lottery, most eventually end up penniless, in debt, or worse off. And to those who say that they they're newfound relationship is tied to the money--yes and no--I think of it more as a common goal/prize rather than greed. And so what if it's for the money, if it a took the prospect of 50K to 500K for a father and daughter to finally address each other after two years of silence, then is that such a bad thing?
Okay. This is what I think the jury is going to say when they find out (hopefully) that it is Dick and Dani in the final two.

I am hoping for a D&D finale too, I think strategicly and game wise it is the fairest and most honest way to end the show.
My concerns about the voting is this jury. This whole season, most of the hg's have played such a weird game of extremes! Some were strategic, but most are playing a very personal game. I really think the only strategic players on the jury are Eric (who doesn't get his own vote), Jessica & Jamica.
The others are playing a personal good guy vs. bad guy type of game. That is not at all what this game is, it is based on strategy, and lying and deceit and skill, with some luck thrown in (like the 58-59 win of HOH for Zach).
The jury needs to realize the vote needs to be not a popularity contest, but who played the game the best, even if you personally don't like them or their tactics (ie. ED). Half this jury is on an emotional roller coaster, they are bitter about the game and feel as if the "deserving good people" are not in the final 3. That is a shame that these folks are voting.
I would like to see the white knight ending as well, but even if ED pulls that out, who knows what this jury will do??

I have a soccer game at 8pm central time and will only get to watch half the show and I probably won't be able to watch who gets evicted. I want to see the persons face and the speech that is given but probably wont be home when that happens!

LOL....this was the funniest season thus far, with the most unique characters I have ever seen under one roof.
Lady j in ca -- Completely disagree. The game is what it is. That means that the jury should vote how they want to vote -- there are no rules here saying how it should be.
Players have to balance personality, skill, friendships, luck and everything. Everyone has to position themselves with each person (as that person goes to the jury) to get their vote. It might be proving your strategic prowess for one, "good people" for another, friendship for another, who needs the money for another, etc.
To me, that is the beauty of this game. It's not about strength alone, friendship alone, craftiness alone, it's all of the above. It's a social game and how you position yourself with each and every HG.
You would think true gamers would vote strategy in the end, but a true gamer will realize this is not always the case.

This seems to be a pro D&D page so I'm going to throw the monkey wrench in. I don't agree at all with a Dick /Zach final two. If Zach wins part 3 and becomes HOH he is far better off taking Daniele with him. Being third is a huge blow to Dick's ego and Daniele is not that liked by the jury. Zach has a chance to win against her. He does not have a chance against Dick. Dick is much like Will in the fact that even if you (a jury member) hate his methods you still see he played a great game. Daniele and Zach are more even. She won lots of POVs, which sent many of them out, but she gave her HOHs to Dick. Zach threw comps early to stay off the radar and then got in the game when it mattered. He still trusted D&D too long. Getting rid of Dani when he won POV was his only move and he blew that. I just want to see Dick go out next to wipe that smugness of I have already won right out of him.

I agree with you, you posted it better than I did. There are many factors to this game, but I still digress that this jury in particular is so jaded, immature and taking things on a strictly personal level that I don't believe any of the factors you or I mentioned will be a consideration in at least half of their votes!

Waiting patiently, not really nervous is what i am. Wishing Dick and Zach good luck and may the best person win. Hoping Dick pulls it off, but if not, hopefully Zach will take him to finals.

I want so bad for it to be father and daughter. Since day one, that has been my wish. So, here's hoping for the happy ending!

Was just trying to point out why I can emphasize with someone like him when others see him as "creepy" and "weird". And why it hurts when others make fun of him.
He signed up for this game just as he is and should not be given anything special because he is seen as socially different.
I think it's best for Dick and Dani's relationship if Zach is the winner of the final HOH and he must choose which of them to take to the F2. That way neither Dick nor Dani have to stick up for each other or potentially say anything harmful about the other to the jury.
I don't think its off base to believe that Zach may suffer from a mild form of Asperger syndrome. The guy who authored BitTorrent file sharing program suffers from it. Up to this point, I think Zach has done more than Dick to stay in this game. Winning the Jameka vote was crucial to winning that jury. If he wins tonight, I think he might shock everybody & take Daniele to final two. I wouldn't get too caught up in that nomination speech, he probably had help from his producer & wanted to get Dick to attack him with Jameka there.

I think the biggest loss for Dick would be for Dani to get voted out. If you really want to stick it to him, you can only accomplish that by evicting his daughter. I think it is obvious that he is trying to win back her affection by getting her to the final and making it so that she wins. I would bet my bottom dollar that Dick will actually plead with the jury to give the money to her if they make it to the final side-by-side. That said, the only way to hurt Dick is to evict Dani. He will be furious at Zach for doing it, but he will also be personally crushed.

Guess I'm in the minority, I don't want Dick or Dani to win. If it takes a win to get Dani back with her Dad it's likely to be very temporary and not solve the real issues, though I can certainly understand from Dick's viewpoint how he would feel he would gain some control over Dani if he won the money which wouldn't necessarily be a good thing. In my opinion, Dick's mentally abusive, he may be using it this time as game tactics but you don't get as good at it as he has been if you haven't been doing it most of your life.
In the beginning of the show I first thought that Dani should forgive her Dad and work with him toward a reconciliation, but after observing him and his actions/remarks even when there's no one around him for it to be tactics I suspect she has some legitimate reasons to stay away from him. I'm not hinting about any form of physical abuse at all, but mental abuse can be just as serious and damaging. I believe from some remarks Dani has made there's been a lot of "meanness" during her childhood.
Personally I think Dani is beautiful, and obviously good with competitions, but also whiny and very immature and that's certainly understandable given the comments she has made about some of her life. While she was young to be thinking of marriage with Chris and obviously not ready for it given what happened, I doubt that her and Nick will forge any lasting relationship either though it might run a while and give their fans a thrill.
Zach was not originally my choice to win but I now believe he was throwing most of the competitions, he did show some loyalty to a couple people he liked, he definitely did some major missteps early on but did better later on, and if he wins the final part of HOH tonight I think he deserves to win.
I am so excited to watch tonights show! just a few more hours and its on! woo hoo!
