No More Sour Grapes
What an incredible season of Big Brother. Having watched it all, from start to finish, I couldn't have planned it much better if I'd written the script. Father - Daughter reconciliation, masterful manipulation, romance, intrigue and full participation by the viewers.
Personally, I'm already thrilled with the outcome, and the "winner" is not so important to me. I think they both won... in the big picture.
True, I would have loved to have seen Eric and Jessica with Dick and Daniele in the Final 4, but we can't always get what we want. I'm still more than content.
We could debate until we're blue who is most deserving, who is most true, who lied the least, who was most vile, who would or wouldn't have betrayed an alliance, but really, there's no use to that. It doesn't matter in the least, and it's all conjecture.
When all is said and done, it's a game. It's a great game. We have a final 2, and they fought the hardest and are the most deserving final 2 Big Brother has seen in years. That's not even slightly debatable. Look at the header and check the stats if you need a little more confirmation.
Interestingly, Aldav has Dani for the win. Personally, I stink at predictions, so I'm not gonna even try...

Will ALL the HG's be returning for tonight's finale?
Wouldn't it be great if who ever wins, whether it's D or D that they split the difference? $250K to each! I know that's not the way the show awards the money! But once you've got it - who knows what you do with the cash!! I think that would really make the other D feel like it was a 50/50 alliance, 'cause no matter how you slice it - technically, one's a winnner and one's not! (I hate the word loser)

My understanding from the interview with AG on housecalls is that they are not allowed to actually split the prize. They are allowed to buy each other gifts, but not write one another a check. I guess they could buy something really expensive for the other, then that person could turn around and sell it to get the cash. But technically they can't split the winnings :)
this season was truly one to remember
and i coudlnt agree more with you carolyn, these two are the most deserving, and who ever wins wont matter, they are both winners.
on a side note, i'd like to thank you (carolyn) for your site and your hard work, its much appreciated! There is no site i would have rather spent the summer with!! Until next year!

I could not agree more, this has been the perfect ending with D & D in the final 2. I love the Donatos and will miss seeing them on TV!

I think Dani is the most deserving, but think Dick will get the bitter jury's votes. Jess, Jen, Jameeka and Amber will fulfill the prophecy of Cliff (females hatin' on females) and make sure of it. Instead, they should respect her game and crown her for it.
Yes great season! Thanks for giving me a great place to visit each day. I too would have loved the EJDD final 4, with Eric winning lol but no sour grapes, I am looking forward to tonight. Good luck Dick fans!
Ok, as I said in earlier post on another comment, congrats D&D and all fans.
But, no sour grapes means no more bashing the favorites of us losers either.

I hope Dick wins the big money. $250,000 is far too much money for someone as immature as Dani to win ... not that Dick is so much more mature. =)~ Dani will have enough to pay off any student loans and other bills. Besides, I'm sure dear old Daddy will share some of his winnings with her.
Side note: I have watched every season of BB from the very beginning. This is the first season I've bothered to look for spoilers or fellow addicts. I want to thank all contributors to this site for a most pleasurable experience. I will be back here next season. Until then ...

I'm surprised this wasn't brought up earlier. In the contracts they sign it EXPLICITLY states that you cannot conspire to split the money with another contestant.
It's also the reason (I believe) that Daniele said "no" to splitting the money (in the weight room convo with Dick a few weeks back that people got upset over). I think others were reprimanded on prior seasons of BB for discussing it. You're not supposed to talk about it. You're not supposed to do it. It's the standard clause on all reality shows.
I mean, I can see how this situation would be slightly different, but...

Dick will be victorious 4-3 vote. The winning vote will come from Eric. Jen, Jameka, and Jess will vote for Dani. Dustin, Amber, and Zach will vote for Dick- for his great gameplay. Eric will be the deciding vote, and I think AmERICa will vote Dick. Just my 2 cents.

Hi, my name is Deb and I'm a BB addict.
Oops, sorry! Just thinking aloud and practicing for tomorrow.
I'm not a betting woman BUT, and no offense to the rest of my sex, I think woman are more vindictive than men. With that in mind, I see more of the women voting for Dick........yes, even Jen. I think she might tolerate his behavior more than Dani's immoral behavior (her words, not mine)-LOL!!!
I guess I should duck after saying that but come on.......if my fellow women had to fight (not physically) with someone would you rather fight with a woman or a man? Be honest!! Men fight and get over things; women never forget. Please note: This is my personal opinion and it should not reflect on Carolyn or this blog!
As far as sharing the money, I think since this is a familial thing it may not matter legally if Dick were to give Dani money. It has to be over a certain amount before it has to be reported to the IRS and I'm guessing he could give it to her in chunks so it didn't have to be reported (ducking any IRS agents out there).
Gosh, I sure am ducking alot. No offense intended to anyone. I've loved the whole season and I think after reading a few other BB websites yesterday that this one far surpasses the rest. I can't believe how hateful and nasty some people can get and it makes this site even more refreshing........thanks Carolyn. Thanks to everyone else for being such good sports about it all as well.

Truly a great season of Big Brother! It's amazing to me that not one, but TWO twists made it to the end, father/daughter and America's Player (to be revealed later of course). I'm really excited about the show tonight and the live feed coverage.

Wow Carolyn, I guess I need to go watch the House Calls episode with AG again. I could have sworn she said Eric's vote was OUR vote in the final, meaning America's. She also said that if he did vote against us, he'd lose all the money he'd earned to date.

It really is the most memorable Big Brother I can remember. Sure there are some outstanding moments in BB's years gone by that I think we'll all remember... But this year, so many of those moments string together - into a whole summer!

You've created an environment and a consistency here, worthy being a #1 community. That takes someone *very* special!

I am just now watching last nites Sho2 and DD are still talking about the car for AP. Surely they will be happy when the money is awarded and not get too caught up in disappointment over no car.
Not bashing or hating, but I don't understand why anyone thinks they would announce them a co-winners?
If they planned to do that for any of the enemy teams they set up, you can bet they would have used that for all the publicity they could as the season went on.
Doing it at this point unannounced would not be fair at all to the other HGs.
Really not trying to cause an uproar here since I'm feeling the love today ... it's just my humble opinion.
Not to be mean Carolyn but everything is arguable. Even though their stats are nice one also has to take into account the other people they had to compete against. Its very irrelevant but I'm not sure a lot of them could have won competitions if they were the only one playing. But its also been stated the competitions are nice and its nice winning them but they aren't what wins the game, but instead of what keeps you in no matter what at that time. You truly can't say without a doubt the best there has been in a few years when they haven't been up against the best.
Now because I'm not trying to bash them they done a great job as a team but I'd love to see them alone just like I'd love to see Will and Boogie go it alone to see if they can even come close or if they are team only players.
Maybe after five more years they can do BB14 allstar and we can then see them again. and then following that maybe a Best of the Best and take from the two allstar shows.
But none the less Great job Dick and Danielle. Lets hope for more and more better seasons to come.

Newbie question on AP & car. Does AP mean two different things? I know Eric is America's Player (AP), but the way it's being used in context it sounds like it's more America's Choice. I'm not familar with whatever term goes with the winner of the car so can someone please clear this up for me.
I know on the CBS website Dick is way ahead (and has been with the exception of last week) in the Love 'Em or Leave 'Em poll so I assumed that was the one for America's vote for most popular player. Ohhhhh, I'm so confused-LOL!!! Help!

Plain and simple..Dick played a better game! He deserves to win and Saying I am NOT a fan is an understatement. But I give credit where credit is due. He belittled, criticized and spoke of ill of everyone in that house....TO THEIR FACE...and they kept him in for his bullying tactics. He deserves to win because he didn't win as many POV's to save himself from the block, yet STILL managed to convince these people to keep him and send their own Alliance member home. SUPER GAME PLAY. GAME OVER. DICK WINS!

If you were referring to AC, sorry I was confused.
But, I don't think there's going to be an AC choice -- I think the AP twist was our choice. And if they do for some reason, wouldn't it have been a vote as in past years and not just the CBS poll? They would have surely advertised that -- CBS is not going to miss an opportunity to bring as many people to their site as possible.

quite true Carolyn its not worth it being whats done is done no changing things like it or hate it, it is what it is. Those that like it enjoy, those that don't, remember there is alway next season. One must also remember its but a game on TV, it no more makes us or breaks us but instead just entertains us (well some of us).

That is so TRUE!!! They both played hard, and with each other in the house with all of there problems from the outside world. They came through it together, and it wan't easy. It wasn't easy as a viewer to watch some of it, just imagine how hard it was for them. We watched them fight, cry, hurt, laugh, and most of all WIN it all. This was the BEST season in my eyes, and I have watched them all. I have alot of respect for the both of them as far as where they are, and how they got there. None of it matters... they won it all, and they did it together. I don't think ANYTHING will break there bond after this!!!! WAY TO GO D&D

Not to argue or bash at all. I have no respect for either DD, but then I really don't know them so that is probably not fair. And in all honestly, they probably don't give a hoot how I feel .. that's also fair.
This is a game and the only goal of this game is to make it the end. They did that -- they won.
If I hated the game, I wouldn't be here tonight. But I love it and so I am here.

Kidding aside, there is no way they could get away with such a blatant hinky vote... since we are talking about major $$$ in winnings here. When they did it last time it didn't really matter.
