Yea, I thought it was totally funny when Eric said he was gonna "earn" our respect if it killed him. If he would've listened to us from the beginning then we wouldn't be trying to screw him! BTW, I voted for Dustin 10 times!

Instead of wording that he will campaign for the player, why not just use the terminology that you can just pick his vote and thats it? Eric has a chance to really sway this vote & if he actually campaigns for Dick he will stay. Endemol saved him last week(jen confirmed that), now its time for Eric to pay up & give Endemol a good show.

Ok just watched the episode tonight, and I have to say I was disappointed! Not that Dick won or his abuse of the TH. I already knew he won and his tactics to save Dani by the wonderful BB8DISH blog (wink wink) I was hoping to see his Veto speech. CBS totally axed it. Wasn't he supposed to give a really heartfelt speech tonight!!! And I voted Dustin out 10 times!!
michael, thank you and ditto... the editing really blew on that. it's why i keep telling people the only way to reallly watch the show is with the live feeds... so they're not dependent upon the whim of the producers...

BTW - The reason Eric knows we don't respect him is because we voted to have him give the silent treatment to Jessica. Why would the vote go that way if we LIKED him? Early in the comp - we voted for things with him ... like nominating Jen, etc.

I would not say the show was pro-dick, they cut his speech out and I was enraged...to say the least. But I do feel they put a comical spin on it, much more musicaly edited then I remember in previous seasons, but we will see...want to see what eric does with our choice.

Michael, they axed Dick's speech, because that would have weakened their portrayal of him as the BB8 villian. It's the same reason they didn't air Eric and Dustin talking about how much Dick wants to have sex with his daughter or Amber and Jameka's precious little racist conversation. (I know J didn't add to it,... she just chimed in to tell A to be careful what she says, because people are watching. (~_^)b)

Dick is playing the game and playing it to the max! I knew it along. I don't agree with everything he says and does but he says it and does it for a reason. At least he lets us all know where he stands on all issues. That's more than our "America's Task" player has done.
I'm glad being in the house has helped his relationship with Dani. I hope his tactics work and he can stay this week.

With all the "corruptness" of CBS with the Americas Player, it makes me wonder if they even take into consideration what we vote. They don't even share the % results... Just a name on a piece of paper. So do they just have a team that reads blogs and the chats on live feeds- see who will make them more money and go with that?

Well, I hear that the Diary Room has been buying up thousands of cell phones to ship to sweat shops in China where they're having them all call in to evict Dick, which will totally ruin everything and things will be all horrible and boring!
It's totally obvious, CBS has a secret deal whit Dustin since day one! They gave him back his stupid cape and everything! It's so obvious!

its a problem with windows, everytime i sign in, that 'send' 'dont send' error pops up .. i never know what to do with that thing.
i always put dont send and then my computer freezes for so long i get frustrated and turn it off.. im sick of trying, lol

Dick is drama!!! It's amazing how everyone can just forgive his antics and not Dustin. At least Dustin is who is he is and Dick is playing a role and he himself knows it.....I think this is not about Dick and Dustin I think everyone wants Dustin out because it means there is less of a chance of Amber, Jameka, & Eric staying. Granted Eric may not be working for America but America is not working for Eric America is working for Dick and he isn't America's player. If you want Eric to WIN then you have make easy choices for him like getting Dick out to further himself in the game. Does Eric want to win $10,00 a week for the Grand Prize??
Seriously!!! I bet if we only voted like other shows were we had to pay for each call and not be able to vote online for free.....the result would be different.....
Bottom line is this is a game and it about winning....and for someone to win they have to take out strong players even if they are "our" favorite in the long run it's best that Dick goes because he is a strong player. He can win Veto's if need be and he can win HOH and he is good at talking to everyone when he isn't acting like an ass. I would like to see Dani survive on her without Daddy without Nick and see how far she gets. Maybe she will make more connections with people and move further into the game. I would like to see someone like JEN win who came from being hated to sort of hanging around...

Both Dick and Daniele are very strong personalities and although their ways of gaining ground are different, both are very manipulative people. Dick manipulates by intimidation. No one wants to incur his wrath. Dick going off on you is abusive. When he feels he has reason, he uses a raised voice, foul language, threats, and dumps whatever he thinks will hurt you out there to do his damage. And he repeats it over and over and over, sort of like the Chinese water torture. The abused will do a lot to avoid the abuser's wrath, and you see that going on in the house with almost everybody, even Jameka, who is trained to recognize abuse. The abuser can always rationalize it, and Dick has great rationalizations. Often the abused will attempt to be close to the abuser defending him and trying to curry favor. All that is going on in the house. He uses his intimidation on Kail who is quite susceptible to his behavior. He is systematically stripping her down right now. Since becoming HOH he's told her every mean thing he can come up with that people have said about her trying to isolate her from the others, and he has done it out of the guise that it is for her own good, and the truth hurts, but you need to hear it ruse. It's such a classic example of domination and abuse. This is the week where he will do what he can to isolate her and come to her in the guise of being her only friend in the house, and then he will step on her and grind her into the ground.
Now there is always the chance that he will find abuser's remorse. He'll only find that if she is properly submissive and even then, it is only a might. If he does find it, and really feels sure that she is well under control, he might just "save" her and take out someone he can't gain control of.
Daniele is a strong personality and while she had to endure her dad's wrath often as a child, she escaped it for the most part, living with her grandparents. I don't like her, but I understand her. She is short with him because she can't take the chance of letting him get close. If she gives an inch, he will take it and eventually force her to give up control of herself, so her only protection is to him at arm's length with her annoyed voice and short responses. She recognizes the rationalizing behavior and tries to cut him off before he even gets a grip on her. I can imagine him going off on her when she was a young teen and she tried to reach for independence, rejecting that submissive adoring daughter role. I have a feeling Dick paraded every flaw in her personality before her in his abusive moments, and she may have eventually become submissive, but for being able to escape it with her grandparents. She did, however learn from him and uses some of those techniques on others. She uses what worked as a child, using an assumed fragility and sweet pout to get her way. She has learned from the master, however, and finds hot spots and exploits them in others, and she can stand her ground in confrontation. She is persistant, but uses silent wait time and eye contact, rather than repeating herself to get what she wants. Daniele was wise to find herself a champion right away in Nick. If she could build a large enough army, she would have the upper hand over her dad, but she hasn't. Before she won the POV, Dick had the votes to stay, so he had the upper hand.
Those two are a piece of work. They've found their roles and will play them out in the house. Who I worry about are the other houseguests who don't have a chance against them and (unless they do a voluntary exit) are stuck living under his thumb until he gives them the ax. This may just be a game, but for many of them it is going to mess with their heads for a long time after. If it was me in that situation, I would be knocking on the diary room door on a regular basis to make my case that Dick's behavior is abusive and he needs to go, and if they decided that good TV was more important than my mental health, I would decide that my mental health was more important than a half million and take the voluntary exit. And I'd probably do it on live TV.
