The Overnight Report
Eric Pitches the Donatos to Jessica
& Dick Swears Loyalty to Eric
Part One: Eric Pitches to Jess
At 12:08am BBT, Eric had a chance to speak privately with Jessica again and tell her about his conversation with Daniele. As I suspected and hoped for earlier Wednesday night, he was just taking his time to try and turn her around to this thinking, and make her comfortable with it... We have to remember that Eric likes to work with a bit of subtlety, and that he has to protect himself in terms of Jessica trusting him. Keeping Dick seems a go, for now, and Dustin will be leaving in his cape and crown.
Eric: The way I look at it is this: We didn't come for the purpose of coming in 5th and 6th. Certain people are threats. Certain people are not. If Dustin goes this week, I wish this wasn't the case, but Jameka doesn't have 4 HoH's, and Amber is garbage. The way I see it is, I didn't come here to be a pu--y.. I planned on being proactive and make big moves. There are a couple times in the game to make them, and this is one of them. If we do this, we're 2 HoH's from being game over, and then it's may the best man win... Well, we can align with the weak, or we can align with the strong. We can take out a huge threat and a suspicious character.. You'd almost rather someone coming at you with a knife from the front than the back. Why should we believe them? They have nothing to lose by trying it... From a game play standpoint, I've always seen eye to eye with Daniele... that allowed for a better conversation...
Here's the clip:
Eric goes on to talk about how "Dustin has alliances with everyone, Amber is a nut job, and again, Jameka can't compete in HoH's and she'd be very difficult to beat in the end. I think you have the best chance to win out of the 4 of us...
Jess: Not if we do it. They're gonna know it's me...
Eric: To me, I think you should own up to it...
Jess: I'm gonna look like the biggest liar.
Eric: Making the big move shuffles the deck and makes enemies, but it makes enemies out of people who can't do anything.
Jess: Yeah, but I haven't had any enemies at all..
Eric: I know, I know... Maybe it's not a bad thing to stand up and say, 'you guys thought you knew what you were getting with me, but I'm here to win.' I think your chances of winning are better. I think your chances of winning are also better if I'm still here in the game. Something registered with me today - who did they cast me as on this show? I was cast as the person who knew the show inside and out, and would play hard to win. But what have I been doing? I'm the 5th person in a 5 person alliance, and most of them don't trust me... one can't compete, one's useless, and one can't be trusted himself. ... SO I started thinking, it's time. And when it's just the 4 of us(Dontaos plus E&J), we'll fight to the death. At the final 4, if we win, one of them's going home. If they win, one of us is going home...
Part 3 -
Part 4 moves on to sleeping arrangements and Amber, Dustin and Jameka's out of control paranoia, and the crux of the situation...
Eric: I think we should do this. It's a ballsy move. It's difficult because of the personal aspects, but... Why did you choose to come here?
Jess: I came to win.
Eric: I came to play hard and win. I've thought about it a lot, and maybe it's just time to say, we are taking control of the game. With regard to Amber, it's just gonna have to be, this was simply a strategic choice... nothing personal, sorry.
5 minutes in, Eric lays out the options for explaining their agreement with the Donatos... and then how it has to appear to be a 6 person alliance, with Zach and Jen.
Part 2 - Dick Swears Loyalty to Eric - Dani's not Happy
Dick Swears Loyalty to Eric
Dick and Dani are outside, and Dick is trying to impress upon Daniele that if this deal with Eric comes through, he will not betray him, no matter what.
Dani, on the other hand, would like very much for Zach to win the next HoH and put Eric up. In this next clip, Dick is trying to get Dani to do a Diary Room with him, and she's being pretty awful about it, all things considered. They move on from that to game talk in short order..
Part 3 - Jessica - "We are Keeping Dick."
Around 5 am, Jameka comes up to the HoH to talk ith Eric and Jessica. She stays about a 1/2 an hour, and immediately upon her exit, Jessica whispers to Eric, "we are keeping Dick." Here is the conversation that follows. They are discussing whom to tell beforehand...
Eric: You can say, Dustin had deals with 3 different sides, and he's in a secret alliance with me and Jen.
Jess: Shut up. Doesn't it feel weird going against the person who saved you last week?
Eric: It does.. I thought a lot about it, and this is the conclusion I made...
34 Comments:
I'm skeptical that the AP voting will suddenly turn cooperative for Eric... He's doing basically what AP votes are "telling" him, but I figure they'll keep messing with him, even though he is doing the best he can with what he's given.
If he pulls this off he will have gained our respect and I dont think we will mess with him. The only time people messed with him was with the Jessica vote to ignore. Thats because we were upset that he hasnet been working for us.
I think Dani, Dick, Jessica and Eric would be a great team..What should we call them?
Ray, "the BB Mafia" :) hahaha
I SOOOO hope this all works out!

Hallelujah! I love Jessica.
However, I am a little concerned for her, with Eric being America's Player and all. I feel as though, should Eric win HOH, America will vote for her to be nominated. Or if she's on the chopping block, America will vote for her to be evicted. And then this new glorious alliance will be in shambles.
It's about time Eric works for Ameica! I would like to see that 4 in the final. They are the strongest players in the game. Kevin suggested a name.... How about the Fab 4?
Deb in NY
I think this is great and can't wait till this evening when it happens. There are going to be some fireworks. As for Eric I think he is finally realizing that we will steer him in the right direction if he lets us.
What does "do a diary room" mean? They said that before during beer pong negotiation too.
Cecilia here--Oh plese let this work out I have been going through ups and downs all week with Eric and Jessica's flip flopping but I guess we really never know until tonight go Donato's
If Eric pulls this off it will be be one of the best moves in the history of this game. I hate the TH and their arrogant behavior. Say Bye-Bye "Good People"!
If this works I'm an Eric fan all the way!
Yes, yes, yes!!!
Thanks for keeping Dick, Jessica!
The JEDD Alliance?
Lameee. =]
I hated the Donatos.
But maybe if this is pulled off my feelings will change.
I know ED will be loyal to Eric, but Dani.. doubtful.
what does "do a diary room" mean? They mentioned it during beer pong negotiating
I am so glad to hear Eric use his big boy voice. I really hope that they align with D&D. Then they can be J.E.D.D. LOL. It's the smartest thing for all 4 of them at this point.
OMG I can't wait for tonight to see how this plays out. But I am NOT counting on it to work til I see that it did!! I can hear Dustin now...ROFLMAO!!!
Kels- Just saw you already came up with it! JEDD.
If Eric and Jessica think the Donatos will keep their word and ally with them while appearing to be in a six-way alliance with Zach and Jen, then Eric's a bigger fool than I thought. Dani HATES him and wants him gone.
If Dustin goes home tonight I'm so done with this show.
Re: "Do a Diary Room"
One of the stakes in the recent Beer Pong games is for the loser to dedicate a 5-minute diary room session to a topic of the winners' choice. Eric's "bisexuality," missing Carol, etc.
What I haven't been able to figure out in Beer Pong prizes is the vague "person." "If you win, we'll add a person/ You have three people." etc. Anyone know what that's about?
Everybody... PLEASE stop with the Princess Queen comments - I take the brunt of it when modifying comments... You wouldn't believe how happy people are to tear me a new one..
Dick will be staying Dustin will be going.
Eric may start actually do what he should do. That will not change my mind about him.
I don't think his horrid comments about Dick,Dani and the others would even fly at his old job as a writer for wrestling!(WWE)
Carolyn, thanks so much for the transcripts of the videos. I just can't listen to Eric saying the same thing over and over.
As far as the eviction goes tonight, we thought last week's eviction of Eric was a lock, too.
I'll be surprised if Jessica is able to tell Amber and Jam that she will be evicting Dustin.
With a little help from BB, Eric is sitting pretty. Hopefully, Dani's natural distrust of Eric will help her keep ED from making a fool of himself swearing loyalty to Eric.
They need to get the votes against Dustin to avoid a tie because Jessica can't be counted on to cast that eviction vote.
Can't wait to see what happens and what those clues mean!
I'm so happy that Evil is staying, but I'm really starting to get annoyed with Dani's whining voice. She keeps says she plays this games stratigic, but she wants Eric because she cant trust him because of what he did to Nick... that sounds personal. I hope that she wises up and sees that the 4 of them would make a great team.
I think her distrust of Eric stems from the fact that he duped her into distrusting Nick and subsequently voting him out which isn't personal. It's more learning from past mistakes and being leery (sp?) about making them all over again. The attempt to backdoor Eric last week, on the other hand, was extremely personal.
Hmm ... a little hope goes a long way ;) !
I believe Eric this time honestly - he will pull this off this time ... he wouldn't confuse Jess with all of this for nothing. I actually admire the way Eric has played this last one out - very slowly and gently making sure Jess is okay with it ... he's definitely winning my respect back! If this guy wins ... he deserves a million dollars for all that he's had to overcome! Goodness!!
I'm still not going to get too excited until tonight when it actually happens ... but i'm feeling pretty good about this :)
Sorry Carolyn. I called dustin that a couple of days ago. Sorry people are giving you a hard time. Your Caroltastic in every way. Thanks for all your hard work.
ray i agree with you
if dick stays eric will surely have our respect!
nice knowing you Jamie.
Um, I understand he's free now. Does anybody have Kevorkian's direct line?
I can only hope that Jen and Zach will futz this up for y'all and King Dusty will reign victorious and we will all get candy!
I keep reading people who are supporting Eric and weary of his alliance with D&D saying that Eric is silly for trusting them. I don't know what show you're watching, but it's a way different show than the one they are showing in my house and on my computer.
Yes, Dick gets personal and talks smack, but let's remember who did who "wrong" in the first place. The Donatos were playing nice-nice with everyone and voting "for the good of the group." They voted Nick out against their better judgement...but again, it was "for the good of the group."
So, what happens? There is a "hinky" vote among the ranks and Dick and Danielle call it out, realizing that someone in their group wasn't voting with the rest of them. Yes, we know it was AP, but they don't know that). How do people think that the Donatos started the war with the "Good People" a.k.a. Turd Herd. They have every right to feel betrayed! They were betrayed!!! Eric got arrogant and started pushing his own personal agenda in the first place prior to receiving his orders from America, we wouldn't be in this predicament! Eric created doubt around himself first because he played sloppy. He got caught by the two smartest people in the house. Eric is one who established the distrust among the group because of his own selfishness. American didn't put him in a pickle. He jumped the gun and didn't wait for his instructions.
It sickens me to watch Dustin, Eric, and the rest of the Turds gather around and bash Dani and Dick. Dani and Dick were the ones faithful to them -- the Turds screwed them. D&D have every right to make them targets.
Dick may be an a-hole to people, but he's straight up and is about the most honest player in the game (except for Jameka, but she's not really playing, she's just hanging out). As Nick said, he'd rather get stabbed in the front than stabbed in the back.
It is obvious that the majority of America supports Dick & Danielle and isn't fond of the Turd Herd. Eric needs to stop pushing his personal agenda each week and getting caught up in a bunch of lies. He needs build his strategy around waiting for the clues we provide for him through our votes to make his moves.
Liz,
Speaking solely for myself ...
I don't blame D&D for going after people who are going after them. If they didn't they would be stupid(er). They know they made a mistake with the Nick thing and they regret it. Points for self-awreness.
I hate Dick for being a wicked, cruel, abusive human being who is a horrible person. He only makes it worse by exhibiting "remorse" and "explanations" for his unforgivable behavior which only makes those abused lower their guard to be abused in the future. Go to any women's shelter for a lowdown on how that works. (And I'm not saying Dick beats people. I'm saying he exhibits the behavior of an abuser. We've seen the verbal abuse.)
And as for Dani. Chickie may have gotten a heads-up from the message from on high, but she's not that bright. Had that not happened, she wouldn't have figured that out.
And folks act as if there is a single person in the house who hasn't said terrible things about someone else behind their back in this house. Chickie is one of the worst offenders on this.
I am still trying to figure out why people would mess with him out of revenge just because he wasn't doing everything we wanted. What does America have to gain from him doing what we tell him too? NOTHING. Do we lose anything from him not doing what we vote for? NO. Its only people who are bent on revenge for him not listening to their opinion that have wanted to mess his game up. They messed with him ever since Nick got voted off, when everyone thought that Nick was some godlike guy who shouldn't have been evicted. Nick getting evicted was something that was part of Eric's personal strategy and some people got pissy about it. They then voted for him to get Dustin nominated (the person who saved him from going home) because they were mad he didn't get voted out. Then they tried to mess with him by having him ignore Jess, but she came in to talk to him after he hid away in the room, and failed cause he didn't feel like not answering her. That would have totally screwed up his game. And now with America's choice being Dustin to leave, he is now full heartedly working on that... and I'm pretty sure that most of the petty people that are still holding a grudge from Nick leaving will still try to screw him by doing something stupid with someone in his new alliance. I still don't know why people are so worked up about him not doing tasks and getting extra money anyway. We aren't getting any of it, so who cares? Its just for fun anyway.
how come i'm not as confident as everyone else sounds that jessica has went for this? i would soooooo love for it to happen but she didn't sound to sure about swaying zack and jenn to me. did i miss something?
Ok, I love Eric and Jess, they are by far my favs. And I am so glad Eric says he's sticking with her till the end. But we will see if America lets him do that. While I'm not to fond of Dick or Daniele, the idea of them 4 getting together, is kinda making me go HMMMM. That could be interesting and give them all a fantastic shot at the final 4.
That move would definitely be beneficial to Eric THIS week b/c then he wouldn't have to hide his/our vote and blame it on someone else. And we all know that another week of shady voting would put Eric right back in the spotlight and the heat would be on him more than EVER. Not just with the HGs, but America too.
Another positive to this alliance is that it may sway America to vote in a way that is beneficial to Eric, since he would be on the side America Loves. But I'm not sure I can trust America in that sense either.
At first my main concern was trusting Dick, but it seems that whiny, princess Dani is more of a risk than Dick is when it comes to riding this alliance to the end. Dick does seem very sincere that he will not betray Eric. But then again......
If these 4 (AND AMERICA) can actually stick to their promises and not betray one another, I seriously think they will have no issues making it to the final 4. That is pending any new and crazy BB twists that turn everything upside down.
The question is, will they stay true to eachother till the end? And will America support Eric in the process and make decisions that will benefit him and this alliance?
Before today I really wanted Dick gone tonight, but with this new offer, Sleeping with the enemies may be the best way to go for my Eric & Jess. 2 hours and we will see......
I just really don't want Dick or Dani to win the money, (I would prefer Jen/Jameka before them) but that is the chance my playas will have to take and hopefully one of them will end up with the WIN!
So excited for tonight.
WoooooHooooooooo
Happy Eviction Day Everybody!
