Who is the New Janelle on Big Brother 8?
We keep getting comments, here and on myspace, comparing both Jen and Daniele to Janelle. Personally, I think Janie stands in a class all by herself, but I'm more than willing to listen to arguments for both sides.
Who do you think the new Janie is, and why?

I think that Janelle is in a class by herself. Also, I don't really think any of them compare to her. I think that Jen is the "new" Jen and Jessica is the "new" Jessica.
I say Jen..Danielle is too weak...But Janelle is above both....V.S.
Janelle is herself and no one else compares to her.
Janie is funny and beautiful and a GOOD competitor. The new BB houseguests are lame, boring and not very competitive.
Janelle was a kick-ass player but I don't think she was the end all be of BB players. My ultimate in Danielle Reyes but that's just me.
But I think the player that has the most similarity to BB6 Janelle (because her game play in BB7 was completely different) would be Daniele. Looks aside, she's the toughest competitor, Jen and Amber are jealous of her, and she's the underdog.
None come close to Janelle...Dani is my fave, but she does act bratty sometimes.
I agree that Janelle is in a class by herself. However, if anyone is most like her I believe it would be Danielle. She has been winning a lot of challenges and is very underestimated in the house. Also, she's a cute blonde. :)
I refuse to believe Jen is anything like Janelle because I can not stand Jen.
no one is the new janelle. i think jen just sucks and i like daniele, but she's not janelle. there's only one jani =)

I loved Janelle last year and wanted her to win. This year Im hoping that Daniele wins. I like the way they play the game.
I totally agree that Janelle was in a class all to herself. You can't compare her to Jen, but Danielle does come close.

No one compares to Janelle. Janelle is the total package.
I understand how some viewers may see some of Janelle's qualities in both Daniele and Jen. Being compared to Janelle is a fine compliment for both of these women.
But, bottome line, there could never be another Janelle in America's heart.
Well BB8 first started, I thought oh their putting another blonde in cause of Janelle. I said Dani is no Janelle but cause she is a badass I think she is similar to Janelle and I think she would be more like her if it wasn't for Dick.
Danielle is smart and just cause she skinny doesn't mean she is squawny

Jen to me is the new Janelle because:
a) she gets put up every week and manages to get off via veto or something else
b) she's pretty
c) a lot of people hate her. particularly the nerd herd
d) she gets insulted. like when Beau called Janelle a "polyester hair bitch".... and Dick calls her all sorts of mean things
e) She will make it to the end much to everyone's shagrin.
I'm with you, I think she stands in a category all on her own. Janelle was beloved and feared by the HGs at the same time. Even the ones who hated her understood why she was loved by the others, and they mostly hated her out of their fear. Daniele and Jen stick out for too many negative reasons whether it be for being whiny or just plain ol' annoying while Janelle was a fierce competitor along with being smart and fun and pretty nearly all of the time.

Whoever says that Jen is most like Jani is insane. Janelle is in a class by herself. Jen on the other hand is a selfish B%$#@. Dani is the only one who comes close to her.

Janelle is a beautiful and smart woman. No one can compare to Janie. I think that the women this year are whiny and bitchy. Janelle stands high above all the women of Big Brother. She rules all Reality TV!
I agree that Jedi Janie is in a class by herself, but if I had to choose, I'd pick Dani based on a couple of factors: Showmance, blond, good at comps. Janie was no where near as mean and coniving as Jen, the only thing they have in common is how great they both look in a bikini! LOL!

Jen is the most Janelle-like character in the house. The one you don't like at first until you realize how good her gameplay is. Danielle's gameplay is bad compared to Jen's.
I think if we have to compare then Dani is definitely the next Janelle. Janelle was never as into herself as Jen and was not as musclely either. But Janelle was mainly known for her great game play. So thats why I think Dani is most like her. Dani is pretty good at playing the game. Everyone hated Janelle cuz she would always win the veto and head of household and prizes. Now it seems like Dani is doing that. Then Janelle was my favorite. Her and kaiser, now ED and dani are.
Why do we HAVE to have a new Janelle in the house at all? I couldn't stand her, so why is she always compared with others. No one is ever going to be just like her, so who cares? Jen is a B*tch but she is different than Janie, she isn't playing like Janie did. At least in the house quite a few people liked Janie, not too many people (maybe 1) likes Jen in the least. Why have "new" whoevers, every player is individual.
There is not, and probably never will be, another Janelle. I'm so happy Kaysar said on housecalls that Janie will be on some time!

Well, it's my turn to praise my crazysexycool JenBot!
First: I agree with 90% of the folks here. Janelle was in a class by herself. No one will likely ever be like her again. She was whip smart (well, except for that trusting Will thing), a real looker and, here is the most important thing, could probably beat you up in a dark alley if she wanted to hurt you.
No, Jen's my gal, but she's no Janelle. Now about Jen: She _could_ be really smart underneath the airhead we see on TV. I'd so love to see that. But as I said before, I kinda doubt it.
In her conversation with Dani last night, Jen (who clearly spends a lot of time thinking about herself) expressed a level of self-awareness one doesn't often see. She said that she is really good at "knowing people." Not that she's really interested in them, but she's extremely observant.
And, think of the following people.
Nick, we all know, was that true rarity: Someone who was sincere. What you saw in the house was the way he was in the DR. He wasn't playing Dani for game.
And Jen, probably to her own detriment, is startlingly sincere. She agreed to withhold information from Kail, but wouldn't lie (so she intimated). And, to per potential destruction, said that she wouldn't be in an alliance with Dick. To Dani she says this!
Wow.
Nah, Jen's something else entirely.

No sorry, just didn't like Janie and definately don't like Jen. Just get tired of hearing about Janie still after she is no longer on the show and hopefully never will be again.. lol Love the updates though, keep up the great work.. :D
Can someone explain how Danielle can even be on the show- the rules for the show state you have to be at lease 21 years of age at the time of the application process but she is just turning 21 during the game which is after the application process and don't you think the other houseguests would be mad if she were to win all the money and really didn't qualify to be on the show to begin with. So how is she in the house?
