It's a rough choice because I'm not a big fan of the Donato's, but I'd have to say Dick out of the two. I think I'd die if Dani won, I can at least thing of some times where I've liked Dick/he's made me laugh.
I want Dick to win, he flat out said he would give a decent sized chunk of the cash to his kids so they can go to college and live their dreams. Come on Dick!
I'm going to have to say neither. This for me will be yet another boring finale. The best part for me will be when Eric can FINALLY come clean.

She won a buttload of competitions and was the brains behind the operation.
I must be a whiney-ass brat myself, cuz I'm not really all that annoyed by her. I think people pushing for her to be more responsive to her dad's affection have no comprehension of their life outside the house and can really pass no judgment on her. Also the way she acts after losing competitions isn't towards anyone but herself. She's a competitor and (to me) it's understandable that sometimes you tend to beat yourself up over what you could've done.
Daniele's personality isn't as bubbly as Janelle's, but her comp play was just as good and her strategic play was way better. Personal feelings aside, Daniele was the strongest player in the game this year.

I agree that Danielle was the most strategic one and the one with the most insight, but the main reason she was is because Nick was not around to distract her and the reason Nick wasn't around had a lot to do with Dick so there you go,,,that's that.

watching live feeds 10:56pm, Dick and daniele just sitting at the kitchen tablea nd talking. Thought it was kinda cute how they sit the same in their chairs without even noticing. they kinda straddle the chair.
I like to see Dick win the money. Cause if the rumors are true about Dick being Jen Father..Then Jen's mom can go after him for back child support and all his ex wifes can get their alimony...so Daniele don't even bother to borrow any money...and I hope Uncle Sam get's his taxes.

Today when I got home from work I rushed to Watch BB8 on My DVR.
I am disappointed to see Zach almost got the Donato's! I thought seriously tonight may be a humbling night for the Donato's. But it was n't! I am very upset...I don't want to vote for any of them.
I seriously cryed when Zach lost! I totally snap at my family to shut the f n up!
My family thinks I'm taking this show too serious. I think I need Big Brother Rehab.

Dick all the way.
Here's why- he, I believe, was the first player in BB history to use the veto to take the *other* nominated player off the block. That left him extremely vulnerable. Her "returning the favor" at F4 was a nice symbolic gesture, but it didn't take the guts or risk that his did. She would have been GONE that week had he not done that, thus he "carried" her to this point .
She may have won more competitions, but he won the ones that really counted- that veto, HOH to evict Eric, final HOH parts 2 and 3. She never would have lasted the bunny hop. He lasted for her, and only got down when she told him he could- so yes, they were a team, but he has played for her all along and would sacrifice himself for her. I doubt she would do that for him to the same degree- esp. not in the first half of the season- and his dedication was touching to see beneath the gruff exterior.
Also, I agree w. the PP that Dani is here now because Dick saw the danger in Nick- both a threat to her personal life and her game. That was a protective father move, but she didn't start playing until Nick left.
Dick will probably spend a lot of money on buying rounds for his friends at his bar than making any big charity gift, but Dani would be far less responsible with the money, and probably less generous in sharing with Dick.
I like Daniele, I'm glad they are in the F2, but Dick did the dirty work for her (yelling insults on her command, fighting and generally making himself a bigger target), Dick took the risks, Dick sacrificed, and Dick has tried to heal their relationship and make amends for his mistakes. Dick deserves it all the way.
I can't stand creepy Zach and his "I found God" stunt with Jameka, but I have to say, the guy left with a LOT of class and his parting words were kinder than necessary. I wish D&D had had enough insight to be a little more graceful with him in their victory/goodbye... It'll be interesting to see if they do start working the jury a little against each other.
Dick's inclination will be to defer to his daughter, but I really hope he will make a good case for himself with the jury, and I hope they respect him and his gameplay enough- dirty tactics and all a la Richard Hatch and Dr. Will-- to not let personal grudges get in the way of his well-deserved victory.

I thought about that too Carolyn. They should both get $500k. Hell, they were going to do that for the twins in BB5 and anyone who made it with their secret partner in season 6. Why not do it for someone who was an obvious target/pairing from Day 1 this season? I'd say it's much harder to do, being a known pair, than having a "secret" 2nd half.
They worked some witchcraft all summer-long and should be rewarded for it.

If I had been able to vote, I would have chosen Dani. She deserves it. She's won so many comps and BB threw her in a spin when they put her dad in the house. But she did what she had to do and now look at her!
Plus, she wants to use the money to go to college, I think thats great!

My husband and I Loved the out come of the show. I was soooooo nervous for D&D!! We voted for Dick to win the whole thing just cause we have liked him from the begining. But I do have one question....what's up with the sunday show? I didn't think there would be another show til the finale tuesday night. Just a thought..... I said to my husband watch them bring on Dr. Phil or someone since D&D are supposed to be giving their thoughts on the show and such. Any one else wondering??
I am SO happy that D&D made it to the F2. It is a hard decision, but I think I would rather see Dick win because he would definitely share with his family. Dani, on the other hand...I am not so sure.

Yes! what a game player! He aligned with the right people at the right time. He made some great moves! And he survived some evictions....right! he totally deserves to be in the final 2 and also to be the overall winner!

I have to say Dani. She has played the best game as far as winning the most things. But, Dick came thru when needed?? But still go with Dani. The Jury should be voting for who the BEST player is not who they like or dont like and we should vote the same way. I feel Dani is the best player.

I voted Dick, wahoooo...but really after the move to evict Nick (which made no distraction for Dani anymore)...Dick going on his rant to protect his daughter, and then winning the veto and taking her off is what made it possible for them to be the team to win this...I think that is what really makes him the winner in this game over Dani...just my opinion...I can't wait till BB9 so I can come back here next year...thank you and great job Carolyn and all those who helped with BB8dish this year
I think Dick should win. He does deserve it being the mastermind behind everything.
It was amazing how he ended up saving themselves from evictions 3 times.
Either way the money goes into the Donatos family.
I can't tell you how happy I am that they both made it to the f2. I agree with Dick that they are the best team ever to walk into the BB house and kicked ass.
Collectively they won 5 HOHs and 6POVs. NOw that's some stats for you.....love you Donatos.

Somehow I don't think either Dick or Dani will be hurting for money in the future. They will each have their own TV show in about a week.
I'm voting for Dick though because he took the biggest risks.
I hope they have a good accountant because the check will be made out to one of them and you can't just give that kind of money to someone. They have to be careful not to be taxed twice. (I'm a lawyer - can you tell? LOL).
anon 10:57 - I have marveled all season at how similar they are in so many ways. Body language, attitudes, reactions ... if nothing else it's facinating to watch how important genetics is - because he didn't raise here day-to-day. They have these inate similarities. It's interesting and funny. Dani will be so pissed when she sees it!

I, too, am glad for Eric to finally come clean about being America's Player! A lot of things will make sense for everyone else...
But, I voted for Dick. I want him to win it for Daniele even more! I liked him more the whole time anyway. He was the brains and she was the comp girl. They are both deserving of winning, and either would be easy for Eric to campaign for. This is the 2nd easiest AP task of the game! ;)

I'm old. I went to bed at 10. I can't do the really late nights anymore. I am still so happy.
I'm disgusted with the final two. I liked Dick at first then he crossed the line so many times. He's nothing but a 44 year old bully. Danielle is worse, she is the most negative person ever, she hates everything and everybody. Since I dispise both of them, I hope Danielle wins, she won't give a cent to Dick, she'll spend it all on herself. That would be fun! It's all Karma.
The National Enquirer also published an article that Drew Carey fought to keep Amber off Power of 10.
I wonder if Amber knows any of this yet? One thing is for sure, they certainly staged the sequester house shots carefully.
Won't it be interesting when they get out and find Dick was America's number one favorite and Jen was number two throughout the whole season. And Amber - not so much.

So I talked to my mother in-law this morning, snd she said she wont be watching next season. I am a D&D fan and obviously she is not. Now what baffles me i have heard this from many people as well as her. Maybe you guys can help me! Why just because you do not like the people who won would you say you are never going to watch again? What does the outcome of this season have to do with next season? To me it just seems stupid, which I obviously didn't want to say to her! So I thought I would come here and see what you guys thought!

It happens every season, several times a season... when someone people love gets evicted, or when someone people don't love advances further in the game... people swear they wont watch the rest, they're cancelling feeds immediately, they'll never watch again, etc.. and they're back 24 hours later commenting on something...

I am STILL astounded as to why so many people dislike Dani. She needs to win the money for several reasons: To finance her trip to Europe with Nick, go back to school like she said on power of 10, etc. The haters must be jealous, she outwitted them all and kicked A$$ in the comps, why would they choose someone who berated them all (don't get me wrong, I love Dick, but it's the truth)over Dani, who is guilty of what...falling for a great guy in the house???
I'm confused as to where, in the BB rules, that it states if two people are related, the winner of the 500k is obligated to give the person in 2nd place, money. This gets old reading comments from people stating Daniele is selfish, won't give her dad a dime, blah blah blah. Do you REALLY know this as fact? No, you don't. The reason it hasn't been discussed on the feeds is because it IS against the rules to give another HG money. If you watch the feeds you would see this- because they go to FOTH when it's mentioned. Let's get one thing straight, we don't know any HG on a personal level. We have seen each in an element way outside the norm of society. They have lived this for 3 months- we haven't. Each season HGs bash one another, this season being no different. In fact, when someone makes a comment about Dick and Daniele bashing other HGs- I want to say, "What are you doing? You're bashing as well." And why do any of you care who gives whom in regards to money? It isn't like it's YOUR money they're winning. I can assure all of you- next year I'll read updates but refrain from reading comments. Most of you are more brutal than those playing the game.

My vote went to Dick. They got there TOGETHER as a team and I don't think they would have made it solo, but I think Dick will be more fair with the money. CBS, solve this problem and give them both $500,000. That way maybe it won't be a source of contention for them.
Great comments everyone. I'm glad I'm not the only one that noticed how similar D&D are. I was watching Dani pop her knuckles outside the other day and said outloud, ohmygosh, she does it just like her dad; I wonder if she even realizes that-LOL!!!
I'm a first year addict and I'm so not ready for this to be over. And yes, I'm with everyone on the hangover and I'm waiting for major withdrawal to start kicking my fanny :-)
Now, what I would really like to see is the HG's watching the tapes of how things went down in the house this season. I think the looks on their faces would be priceless and almost as good as the 3 part HOH comp.
Anyway to get the truth out of the rumors about Amber and her job? Yep, I don't put alot of stock in what the National Enquirer says. I do, however, have great concerns about both mental health and stability (Amber) and physical altercations (Dick) after everyone gets cut loose. I think Dani has the right idea.........leave town for a month-LOL!!!
I'm so glad I taped the last 3 shows. At least when I'm going through withdrawal I can get a fix by watching them.

You're right Beth, there's nothing in the rules that state you have to share. However, they've been a team all along so it's a safe assumption that they will split it. Even when Dick won yesterday he said 'WE did it' and when Dani was making her POV speech she said she didn't think they would have made it without the other. So, not in the rules at all, just a safe assumption.
The reason I think alot of us pick Dick over Dani is because he's the dad and his love for his kids will keep him from going back on his word, whereas Dani's is still a bit iffy for some of us.

Beth I was thinking the same thing. There should be year round Big Brother. I am already going through withdrawals and we still have 4 days to go.
Another thought I had is, it would be great if showtime continued with the BB After Dark and played previous BB seasons un edited.

I can't stand either one- Although, I will vote for Dick to win just so I can see Dani cry and say "Thats not fair- I am so embarrased"!! I am exited to see Eric come clean too. This season has been a dissapointment to me- Very unfair to Eric. I will still watch next season though. What am I going to watch for the next ten months now???
Anon 9:01 I think people that way about watching more so this season because of all the rule breaking and things that cbs let slide. Like the racist comments/ abusive statements and nudity, thats what has people up in arms about this season. I have continued to watch even tho my fav left weeks ago. We also saw alot of creative editing on cbs part and the drama music when praying if a fine example or when Dick droped his key the valor music behind him. That set people sometimes in bad and good light.
I am waiting for Dick get out and have some woman punch him square in the face for what he did its coming.

The point is that they should not be allowed to share it period. none of the other contestants can... But in this world they can bending rules for the D&D they have all season.
After how many times hes thrown himself on the sword for her and tied himself in knots for her ( even though i believe hes big reason why she is how she is) he should get it at least he will be made sure to see some of it.
Hes doing it today driving himself crazy trying to please her i can't wait to see how long it will take for him to drive her crazy in the house perhaps there should be a poll how soon before Dani cracks and goes off on him being locked in the house alone with Dick. That would be priceless :)

I have no idea how it's strategic- that was my point when I commented on why people feel as if it's an unwritten rule that the prize money has to be split since a father/daughter team won. So many are making assumptions that Daniele won't- hence giving them reason not to vote for her as the AP choice. Yes Dick has said he wanted to split the money and Daniele has hinted around but never outright said= because it's against the rules to do so. This is why I think so many people are off base when they say she's selfish when it comes to the prize.

I do believe CBS slanted and played up the good vs. evil (evel) this season. Not that they did anything illegal or really even wrong. It is their right and their show and they have the right to prompt players to do/say things to help their ratings.
However, since they did play and promote the show on this premise, they also promoted and helped the outcome. Evil won. That is a statement on America and it makes me sad.
Can't wait until next season and hope it plays out so that my whole family can enjoy the game again.

WLA- the "strategic" voting is over because the game is over. Voting strategically for evictions etc. is to benefit the other game players. Since they are all out of it, their only job is to decide the winner. No more strategy. And I still think some of them will vote for Dani because she was "nicer" (personal reason), but some will vote for Dick because he was a true game player, and that is arguably a strategic vote because it means they are overlooking personal upsets (again, a la Dr. Will and Richard Hatch- remember Susan's rat and snake speech? Ok sorry, wrong reality show :)
Aeona- just because D&D talk about getting $275k each doesn't mean that they are "allowed" to, kwim? I believe the rules say that you cannot promise a player that you will split with them- i.e. you can't offer part of your winnings to collude with each other or advance in the game. However, there isn't anything preventing a winner from sharing their winnings with their family- it's their money to spend how they like, so that's why D&D probably aren't admonished for it. Plus it was clear they were going to help each other to the end without having to bribe each other :).
The fact is that other seasons didn't have anyone close enough to WANT to share money (though maybe Dr. Will and Boogie bought each other a few presents when they won? ;). CBS will cut its checks for $500k and $50k, but if D&D WANT to share it after that (which apparently they do) what can CBS do to stop them? If there's that tight a restriction on what can be done with the winnings in the immediate future, then the winner can slowly gift $ to the other $10k at a time, or can buy a nice car but let the other person drive it etc. There are lots of ways around the rules/tax laws etc.
Forgot who suggested it but I LOVE the idea of replaying seasons on Showtime- I'd watch the live feeds for season 2 all over again in BBAD 3 hour segments. That would be a nice way to get through the withdrawal of another year... And wouldn't it be interesting to see an earlier season now that players have gotten more sophisticated about how they manipulate each other etc?
Carolyn- I've been a BB fan since day 1 season 1, but I just recently discovered BB8 dish- wish I'd found it earlier. I love the format and being able to post without having to formally register etc. Good job with the updates and screencaps etc.- I'll be back next year!
