Veto Competition Saturday
So what's in store for our immediate future? A Veto Competition, for one. The most important Veto Comp of the Big Brother season. Dare I say the last Veto Comp of the season. With 2 Donatos on the block - AGAIN - it should prove to be a battle for the ages.
We'll be here to do the spoilin'... as soon as the feeds come back on. If they do another middle of the night one, someone please call me! The HGs have been given a curfew tonight, so it's not out of the question. Interestingly, they are not permitted to talk to eachother after curfew.
At the risk of being tarred, feathered and completely blasted by anonymous folks who type in all caps and drop F bombs quite liberally (and consequently don't get published), I'll say it loud and proud: I want a Donato to win the Veto Comp. I would like nothing more that a Double D finale...
To get there, step one is I need a Donato, preferably Dick, to win the Veto comp.
A zero D finale makes me shudder with memories of S6... ichsa.
A Double D Finale makes me happy on so many levels... For one thing, each and every person who bonded purely over their unifying hatred for them (Dustin! et al) will be forced to give them the prize $. Another, if the Donatos can survive a 3rd Double D nomination unscathed, adding that to their combined 4 HoHs and 5 Veto wins, I really can't see a legitimate argument to call them undeserving of the finale.

Couldn't disagree more, but at this point whoever wins deserves it. To make it to this point alone is rather remarkable.

There's so much pressure being put on this POV. Something undesirable is bound to occur. I'd like to see Dick & Dani in the finals as well, but these shows always screw me over. So I predict Zach will win POV, and Dani will be evicted. Then Jameka will win the last HOH competition and pick Zach for the final two. Jameka will then win the whole thing. I will be crushed... again. I hate this wretched show.

I am so happy that you feel the EXACT same way I do!!!! I love Dick and Dani!!!!!!!! They have played the game the best...they took chances while everyone else played it safe..plus they are great at the comps.
I am totally interested to see how this all goes. Will the ones that have dominated the competitions be in the final 2...or will it be like the tortoise and the hare with Zach coming alive in the end to take a spot in the final 2!?!So much fun for me!
I hope Dick wins because if he wins he will give Dani some of his money. If Dani wins she will not give ED a dime. This is all assuming Dani and ED are the final two. I want Jameka to win, but she will have to win power of veto and then HOH and that is highly unlikely.

What an amazing story that would be and my hopes is that it would solidify the reconnection they've had in the house!!! One can hope :D ... pluuus ... they've played the best game possible. I think they deserve a million dollars if they get to the end .... considering everything they've had to go through! If big brother DOES twist certain competitions in the favor of certain houseguest - my hope would be that it would be in Dick or Dani's favor ... and I think it would ... Estranged father daughter in the finale has got to score some rating points - doesn't it ?!??! ... a girl can dream ...

p.s i agree with lanie - i was thinking the exact same thing the other day ... as much as i like Dani ... (which isn't nearly as much as i like dick !) I have a feeling she wouldn't give Dick very much, if not any of the money ... I would also like to see Dick win for that reason ... and well .. just because I think he deserves it more ... Dani seems to think she's the mastermind .. but from my point of view - Dick has been doing all the dirty work along with protecting her with every move he makes!

I'm hoping JamJam takes them both, but I can't see that happening. I think I read that is what was prophecied someplace in the Book of Galacians.
But oh now look, Dick's planning on stirring up racial stuff to throw Jameka off. The man is class personified.

I am in full agreement.. Jameka and Zack have been the lamest players throught the season and do not deserve to just walk right in and claim the prize with not really fighting as hard for it as D & D has done IMHO. Zack has turned into a total ass.. Sure he can nominate but he doesn't have to be a horses ass about it. I hope D or D win POV and send Jameka on her way out. Typically final 3 comp is usually a long term endurance and being the heavy smoker Dick is, I am not confident he will be able to make it to final two but this game is always full of surprises.. I certainly hope D & D are final two but my feeling is it will be Zack and Dani for the prize. Although my ideal winner would be Dick. I just think of the tea cup HOH where Dick kept up with Zack but it was a struggle and Dick was hurting for days after that. If I were D & D.. I would get to bed early and get lots of sleep, reduce the smoking if not stop and eat lots of carbs and fruits and veggies. Every little bit helps. GO D & D!!!!!!!

OK... this is only a Game for me... but life altering for the winner. I wish a win for Dick so he can share with his kids and they both can go back to school. I don't wish for another F2 like the ones w/o Janelle, who was the best player overall... but made mistakes at crucial moments.
I'd rather see Jam in F2 now than Zach... and hopefully the Jury will all be about strategy. We are the deciding vote if tied.

No need to slow roast Dick over cigarettes. He's doing it to himself as it is and hopefully he'll be around long enough to fully reconnect with his daughter.
My mom died at 46... mainly due to her disgusting habit of smoking. So really, Dick may not have a long long future. He smokes too many a day. Unfortunately. I like him. He should cut down some.

I have to say, for those who say Dani has played such a great game. I agree. But how can you not respect the game Zach has just played. He has pulled the wool over everybody's eyes. You think he would have lasted this long if he had shown what a great competitor he was from the beginning? He was not lucky enough to have a parent to align with. The fact that he laid low and struck at exactly the right time. Although he may have missed it with the PoV last week, he has really setup a great ousting now. Then again, this is all for not if he or Jameka doesn't win the PoV. I personally love the game he has just played, he played off the idea that he is this big idiot and turned it on the remaining HGs. So the question is, who will Jess/Eric vote for between a Donato or Zach? Does the lie that Daniele told & the Dick scandal outweigh the fact that Zach put Jessica up? Or is Jess still pissed at Zach for the retalliation? Will be an interesting jury.
As you know, I am with you 100% on this. I'm in the Donato camp all the way! Let the misfits take the cake!!!

Zach's gonna win the veto. He's so great at comps when he's not throwing them and he knows he needs to win this one. I can't wait! Hopefully Daniele goes next, then Dick! It's so funny how Zach and Jameka have been dragged to the final 4, and that they might win!! LOVE IT!
It is a game - and both of them have played "the game" - doesnt mean to go on and make friends if someone did thats great, but it still is a game. Eric had to whine & say he would of did things different - like what? Not whine so much, or be more straight up with people - he walked away with a lot more $$ than the others so whats he upset about....he made a lot of rude comments towards Dustin, Amber, Jameka and even Jessica but thats ok? Comes down to who played the best game and Dick & Dani played the game the best - I will agree that Dick would share with his daughter but doubt she would say with him. Go DICK!!!!!!!!
I disagree on a double d finally. I think Daniele is using her father and if she wins the final she will dump him and go on her way not speaking again. As for Dick I haven't cared to much for the way he's acted in the house with his cussing etc but I believe he would be disparate enough to give Dani some of the money to keep her in his life. I'm also not real keen on the other 2. I would have preferred Jessica and because she's gone I'm rapidly losing interest in the finals.

Now that my dreams of Eric winning the 500k, walking with Jess into the sunset, and us getting to watch the planning and wedding of the NY Jewish boy to the Kansas Catholic girl on "Shocking Reality TV Star Weddings" (a show that sadly does not exist yet), I don't so much care who wins - just hope it's a nail biter. From a whole played best standpoint I don't want Jam or Zach to win, but it sure would be fun TV if they toppled the big D's.
As fun as this summer has been, I am really looking forward to getting back on a human sleep schedule!

You know, I was with you until about the past few days. The way D & D are flipping over this "betrayal" is rediculous. COME ON! They gave their word to e & J then kicked them out because it was the best way to get to the end, now they're pissed Z is doing the same thing? They're acting like children, esp Dani. "I hate zach" "I wish he would die". Oh Please. The Donoatos are the strongest players in the game, and Z is right: neither would take him over the other to the f2. He got the crucial HOH and has his chance to get one out. He should have taken dani out before eric, technically, but that's bygons. If they lose the POV they don't deserve to make it, and frankly, with their suddenly ten year old attitudes, I hope they do lose it. Dick had impressed me with his honesty most of the game, then I understood the big betrayal, but now being so pissed and actively TRYING to say something that's mean and below the belt: wow. Grow up. I guess i still want to see Dick make it through, but Dani really hasn't been that spectacular except a couple competitions and she's gotten on my nerves for (hopefully) the last time.

I have a questions regarding Thursday's eviction - after the eviction in between competitions, Dick & Dani were in the bathroom and she was saying sorry, sorry. Do you think they screwed up and sent Eric home instead of Jameka? With all the rushing around, I could see they might have had their lines crossed! What do you think? Why else would she have been saying sorry, sorry?
Carolyn I am on the same page as you!! I want a Double D finale as well. I think it would be awesome. They deserve it. They have played an excellent game!! Although I will be holding my breath until the Veto is played and we see who has won. Total celebrating will be in force when Dick or Daniele have claimed it. =)

one other comment, after Danielle lost the HoH competition, I would LOVE to see what happens of the "alliance" if Zach wins the PoV. Will Danielle blame Dick? Will Dick start campaigning to stay? With the alliance dissolve? Could be very fun. I think the way Danielle kind of left Dick behind and hitched herself to Zach when he was HoH last time is very telling. She is self-serving and likes to jump from player to player, and it has worked well for her. Hope it comes back to bite her though.

To condemn the poor Ogre for doing exactly what you just did to your two alliance members is just ridiculously hypocritical. They justified evicting Jess because it allowed them further in this game. This is Zach's best chance to actually make the final. I thought he was a fool to not use the veto to force Dani out last time around, but he has totally redeemed himself with this SMART move. I think America as a whole has kind of underestimated just how much Zach has been playing this game, or maybe it was just me. Hopefully Whini Donato will go home this week which will send Dick off his proverbial rocker. He's so big on throwing people off their game before HoH competitions, I wonder how he will perform once his bratty daughter gets sent packing!!

This is a game and I believe the best player always wins. Here's why.
The ONLY object of this game is to make it to the final 2. You have to know when to hold 'em, know when to fold 'em, know when to walk away and know when to run Corny I know but couldn't help myself. (Heard from overhead ... Bloggers, stop singing!)
When you sign on you know there may be twists that could help and or hinder you and not other players(D&D, E&AP, etc.) ... part of the game.
With the end game being the only goal, you have to know when to make friends when needed, be aggressive when needed, win comps (or lose them) when needed, and just survive each week. Sometimes honesty works, sometimes lying and backstabbing works and sometimes just laying low works ... all part of the game.
There are aspects of all of these strategies I personally don't like, but the goal inside this game is to know when to use which one and then carry it off.
Inside the game, it is not a popularity contest, but that also has to be kept in mind because the other players will be voting on the F2. These are your friends as well as the ones you lied to and backstabbed. So, you have to sum up each one, play to how you think they will be voting (personal or strategy)and balance it all in your favor ... all part of the game.
We on the outside all have our favories (mine are gone, so how good would I be at acually playing this game?!?!).
In the end, the one who did all of the above the best is the one that wins, even if their strategy, personality or how they would use/deserve the money is what we like or not.
Know that is more than my 2 cents, but I know, I'm just saying ...
I disagree completely... I want to see Zach and Jameka in the final two. Don't really care which of those two wins. I've just had it with the slimiest SOBs always being the winners of these things, and the Donatos completely fit that description. Both of them.
I so badly want D&D in the finale. To me it would be "annoying" and very disappointing if they weren't. Can you imagine how boring this season would have been without them? Even with all of Dani's whining and Dick's spitting. They have made this season fun to watch.

I just want add here...Dick has said (at least twice) that Zach is doing the smartest thing for himself right now, we got rid of Jess and Eric, he wants to get rid of us etc. You can't fault the guy for asking Zach to not put them both up...also, part of this game is getting siched up against those who want to evict you...it helps to get your mental fire going. Both Dick and Dani know that going forward in this game is all up to them winning the veto. Would you sit back and say how wonderful Zach is if you were in their position? Their ranting is all part of the game guys...the four of them ate (Dick's) baked ziti last night together and the mood has been light...
As far as statistics go, Dick and Dani have pulled off amazing feats this summer including multiple HOHs and veto's. I can't think of any plausible argument (apart from personal dislike) that would lead me to believe that neither one of them deserve to be in the final four or the final two. They have played the best game of all the HG's left. I am not saying that Jameka or Zach have had no game, I am just saying that Dick and Danielle have played it better.
The best man doesn't always win this game...I remember how disappointed I was when Janelle walked out of the house on season 6...I will feel the same way if Zach and Jameka make it to the final two...

What makes you assume I am not a D&D fan -- I am now since my favs left along time ago (with Cliff's turkey burger fast).
But still stand by, however you got to the last 2, whatever you did or didn't do, it worked and that is the entire object of the game -- not whether we think you played good or not.
But is sure fun to talk about their strategies and tactics, huh?

This is an odd predicament. If CBS gets rid of a Donato this week it will be SALVATION WEEK the last week of Big Brother. We will get to hear Zach on the pulpit praising Jesus and giving credit to Jameka for helping him find God. The whole show will be about GOD and CBS will be so happy with both Donato's in the jury. Dick's head will explode. It will be so vomitous; and then Jameka will win for sitting around doing NOTHING but being superior the whole time. (Cripes, even the one time she won Veto she won by COMPLETE default. I don't think she ever actually answered a question, she waited for all of the others to miss.) D and D won't even vote for him because of this bonehead mood of nominating both of them.
All he had to do was put up Jameka and he would have been fine. Neither scheme of nomination matters this round AT ALL but why get self righteous putting up D and D? All that does now is lose you votes if you make it to the end. BONEHEAD MOVE made out of false pride. Dick is right, you are stupid.
Its either going to be really interesting with one Donato or explosive if both of them make it. If it is Jameka v. Zach it isn't even a contest and that is what Zach is walking straight into.
If Jameka wins this thing, does that make her the new Will? Zach is the only person left that I think has ZERO chance of winning. Maybe a slight chance against Daniele, but I don't see how anyone in the jury could give it to him with his butt kissing game style. (They might give it to him just because Daniele is one of the only reasons he is still even in this game.)
I'm just going to do what I did the one time Dick won POV; when the contest is on turn up my "Suicidal Tendencies" album from college and pray that either Dick or Dani can kill "Captain Stupid" by getting rid of Jameka.

Dani is a whiny, pouting baby and her father is an obnoxious, pouting bully. Some people thing they have "good game." I think ED in particular has taken BB gameplay to unacceptable an offensive new lows--and I'm not easily offended, believe me. If the Donatos are the final two I'm afraid the future of BB will be forever changed and it will be no better than a three month long episode of Jerry Springer. Ugh. I know BB is never claimed to be The McLaughlin Group and I love it because it's crass entertainment. I have my limits, though, and ED is waaay on the other side of the line for me.
