Dani's Talking!!

After a brief pass through by Daniele a few minutes ago where she deigned to speak 1 word, Dick has decided he's given her enough space, and goes into her room to talk. he's not buying the FSA anymore - he never was... he was just giving her space. Now he's talking sense to her, and about to fix her dinner.
Here's the gist of the talk:
Dick: Hey.
Dani: What?
Dick: Are you ok? Hmm.. Come on, honey. (rubbing her back) Doesn't matter what happens, we won. Doesn't matter about those people and what they said. You beat all of em. We both beat all of em.
Dani: I just wanna go home already.
Dick: Day after tomorrow, honey. Don't worry about them. Hey.. you're here, they're there. Seriously, f them. Amber's just a bitter bitch. She's the same one you remember, Eric had to have a talk with, cuz she was talking about giving hand jobs for votes. She's also the one who has this big horrible secret she doesn't want anyone to know, yet everyone on the internet knows. The same thing I always say, people talk shit, you just have to consider the source. You're gonna worry about something Dustin and Amber Say?? Jen?? They're bitter and pissed because they're not here and we are. We played better than they did. The best team that has ever played this game. Nobody could do what we did. Nobody. 7 seasons of people have tried. We're the only ones. I'm gonna start dinner. I'll come in and get you when it's ready, ok?
Dani: Alright.
Dick: It'll be ready in just a minute. It's just the meat that has to cook. (pause) We did it, they didn't. Don't worry about what they have to say. F them.

Dani's still sniffling... but definitely progress is being made.
A few minutes later, Dani comes out and joins her dad in the kitchen area. He asks for help with finding the cooking time.
Dani: 4 minutes at 350.
It's a start. It's definitely a start.
Dick: C'mon, how bout my question that Eric gave me? "Tell me why each person here deserves to be in the final 2." I'm like, Amber doesn't deserve to be here, Dustin doesn't deserve to be here.. F 'em.

I'm gonna look at strategy and I'm not gonna base it on who's a better person.. and then she has the audacity to call me pathetic? I think Amber's one of the most pathetic people I've ever met.
Dick: Amber is the most pathetic person I've ever met. I bet she had to ask.. I bet she doesn't even know what pathetic means.
OK.. so tonight we're gonna get the jury roundup discussion we were looking for last night.

Dick and Dani have moved outside. They're getting into the meat of Dani's upset. I recommend tuning in. The gist is, Dani feels as though Dick campaigned against her during the jury session, where she left everything very open... Dick says he didn't but apologizes anyhow.

But, still. The two best players are the final two.
The jury picked on Dani because they are scared of Dick. That isn't Dick's fault.
I am glad those two are talking again. There is hope yet! I bet after he wins (assuming AP vote for Dick) and shares the money, I bet things will be a lot better.

I would say it's pretty obvious America voted for Dick to win (no big surprise) and Eric has been campaining - probably even drafing questions ... but that's his job, he's working for YOU AMERICA.
Why does everyone say the jury is scared of Dick? What do you think they are afraid of? What do you think they feel he is going to do?
I really don't understand (ok, call me Amber) but I'm serious.
And Dani is still miserable ... I guess it's true, you can't be too rich or too thin.
I can't take this anymore. It is really depressing me tonight.

I think it's sad to see the bullies in the final two. I teach High School and I see the effects of bullying all too often. No matter how many times I tell others to stand up to the bullies and they will back down, it just doesn't happen. If it had been me in that house, which it never would be, I would have been in Dick's face giving it to him. He would have lost it and become violent, I am almost sure of it. Then he would've been kicked out.
At least Dani has put on some weight since being in the house. She looks much better and I hope she keeps it on.

anon 7:11 - Funny, I was just thinking that Dani looks like she gained the most weight in the house this summer, thank god. Some of those early bikini shots on the show tonight were a little scary. She obviously needs her daddy for his cooking too.
It sure would be interesting to find out what he did wrong all those years, because except when he's being an a-hole he sure is nururing.

How the heck do you burn taco shells? WOW.. it looked like there was pretty good fire going in the oven. At least what I could see from the live feeds.
At least they are talking. For heaven sakes we are paying for these feed to see something definately not for complete silence.
So what did you all think of the show tonight? It was good to see some of the highlights that made us all laugh. I would have to say the pots & pans banging was the GREATEST... Dick is a VERY smart man. His stratagey worked:-)

In the last video by quirkydude, did Dani say something about Jen leaving and America taking her vote? I might have heard it wrong. If so, man is she in for a surprise!
D&D's relationship is toast when this show ends. She will probably go back to ignoring him, especially if he wins, and he will go back to his biker bar friends and not reach out to her. It probably would have been better if they both got evicted during the double eviction night.
Jes - You heard correctly. Dani did. Jen apparently said she didn't want to vote for either of them... so Dani said something to the effect of ok, fine, you leave and have America vote for you.
I just finally figured how to post what I have already written somewhere else. This is where it counts and it'w worth repeating. I will leave out the comments about the "tribute to D & D" which was so kewl!!but @ close to 8 pst I keyed into to the bb8 site and saw Carolyns comment about the ridiculous hater comments and such. This is what I wish to repeat:
carolyn, God Bless you & all of your HARD thankless work. Truly you are a gem in this category. As for the haters and negative comments towards you (only a few :) but still you were honest enough to post them which makes the idiots even bigger morons in their comments. From the bottom of my heart I respect and thank you with all that I am.You did a BRILLIANT portrayal of the WHOLE show with all aspects layed on the table. There were your definite favs yet you never took that away from all truths & you documented EVERYTHING as it played out! The highest respect and thanks goes to YOU!!! I thought that Dick and Dani did an excellent job on tonights show acting as the 'hosts' discussing the topics, clips, and memories of the season. They interacted well together and actually both looked happy! (Glad it was tapped before the jury questions!)
And 2 days after the day after tomorrow she can stop her one true alliance the FLA the Fake Love Alliance. when the game is over and the wrap party is done and julie's done grilling them on the early show and hands daddy's his fat check and her, her littler check and Dick writes her, her supposed half of the bit check she can do what we know shes does best and has done since day one run away... Run away from her dad and everyone she feel has ever wronged her EVER. And if Nick can not see her for who she really is then he deserves what he gets!
Carolyn, have they ever done a "where are they now" a month after the show? Do you think maybe this year?

It's a shame that people that are hired to do a job and be objective can are not sorry to say but i think CBS and the employees have fueled alot of this stuff as well. Another case in point of things being tipped to certain peoples favor.. Its sad really! And by the way i hate to break to Dani there are just as many i hate dani and dick sites sad but true..... I fear we have not heard the last from any of this years cast!! I fully expect to see Amber or Dick on the sureal life

Okay, so, I have had my moments of loving Dick and Danielle, to hating them, but I do have to say that they have played the best game, with the biggest targets on them. I don't think if either of them were in there without the other that they would have played the game this same way, but they were put in this situation and they found the best way to work it. Credit has to be given where credit is due. I don't agree with everything that Dick has said to the other players, I actually felt bad for Zach in the endurance comp., but it is what got both of them to the final two, not to mention all of the times each of them won things, but they did a good job, can't we all just agree on that?!!!!

Carolyn....I just want to add my thanks to all the other words of praise you have received. The first thing I do every morning is check your posts, then again as soon as I get home from work. I don’t know what I would have done without you. I love your positive spin on things, and your insight into what is going on. I wish I had know about your blog last year during BB7. I can’t thank you enough for all the time and effort you put into this to make the experience so much better for the rest of us. I will be sending a contribution, as I fee it is well deserved, and I will be back next year. Keep up the great work!

I want to thank you for not posting my comments and for putting up this webpage. It does help those who are too cheap to spend their money and time looking at a tv screen at other people's lives for multiple hours a day. I apologize for all my rude comments regarding the dumbing of america and how Dani/Dick will spend the money on frivilous items/trips meant not to better themselves.
I mean it is funny, if I were to give you 500K now, what would you do? Would you invest it and live off of 50K/yr or spend it on trips, or go to graduate school, or help other people, or other things?
All this he said she said stuff is crap. It just shows the average american attitdue towards things.

Been a fan of the blog for a long time now (multiple daily visits), and though was a tad on the excited side when I posted, I was pretty sure that I hadn't personally attacked anybody. I probably couldn't imagine the amount of hate comments you must receive, and defenitely wouldn't put up with it :P But alas, that is why you do this, and not I.
On another (more personal) note, I've taken a couple glances at your personal blog - what a riot! You have a terrific writing style, very entertaining to read. Have you ever considered writing a short story or novel? *I'd totally buy it! :P

someone on Jokers made a good point. What horrible thing did Jen ever do to Dani to make her hate Jen so much. If anything, it is the other way around..Dani can't seem to stop bashing Jen even after she left. I really can't stand her! I'd prefer for Dick to win (though im not a Donato fan). Dani needs alot of growing up to do for her to be able to handle half a million dollars. I can see her letting the money get into her ego.

My first time on here today (well after I went to bed at 3AM). Enjoyed a most spectacular event for the senses with Cirque du Soleil's Corteo. WOW.
Now to the 'event' for the day. Todays show and the Donatos in the house. I am happy to read from your (as always) insightful comments Carolyn, and it warms my heart that Dani is up, awake and in a pretty good mood. I think she realized there is less than 48 hours in the house now. Dick also seems pretty happy... probably because Dani is talking with him. Both are stir crazy and ready to rock. They are so alike.

Why not put a name or something when you do nothing but dog on these HGs? It's also amusing - NOT - reading all the glee when things are rocky... I never liked Jessica in the house (as a player), but I did not take glee in her sadness or unhappiness. But I guess we all get our kicks from something.
I pretend not to know what will happen after the show, but I do hope and would not be surprised if Dick and Dani manage to take baby steps and eventually have a rich fulfilling relationship. With time and maturity. Love is a wonderful thing...

Seriously though, I'm intrigued about the questions D&D recieved.
The one thing that never faulters each season: the raging bitterness from ex-HG.
I cannot stand most of the HG in sequester and it amuses so many people bash Dani for her emotional maturity when you've got Dustin, Amber, Jen, etc. all older and all with their own stunted maturity. Not that I'm leaping to Dani's defense altogether, I'm just using the same judgement for everyone.
Random thought.
I WISH HG had the same type of eviction as they have on BBUK. The evicted HG has to walk outside into hordes of diehard fans who are equipped with signs (and hand gestures), and of course foul languaged and traditional "Boo-ing."
I know that sounds incredibly evil...

RE. JURY HOUSE... Did you see the ad for it on the web... it's in Simi Valley (less than an hour north from the BB House) and it's for sale for 'only' $8,900.000.
For those of you who complain about D2s constant bashing of other HGs... Do you really believe the other HGs don't do the same thing... It's part of being locked in a house forever, with no outside news or influences. It makes people nuts and gossipy. That's what the Producers want.

It's already stated, over and over again, that both Vincent and Dani wants to return to school. However, why are people judging them for wanting to travel and experience the world rather than buying stuff. You can't take it with you and nothing is like living a new experience. I find that people travel far too little and henceforth don't get a true picture of the world out there. I would not be surprised if Dick would do something to benefit the Victims of Darfur... his MySpace is all about that. I have personally learned that you seldom get to know somebody like you do when you have traveled together in surroundings very different from what you are used to. So what I am trying to say is... Don't Judge them for not doing what you may have done.
Finally to get off my rant...
It would be nice if people could stop judging Dani by her weight. She is young and obviously has good metabolism. But this girl has been made fun of all summer because of being skinny. She lost 9 lbs when she first was on slop for a bit more than two weeks... Why do 'we' make it OK to constantly ridicule her and call her anorexic. It's not fun.

According to Vincent in his interview w/ BB, Daniele borrowed money from Dick, was irresponsible about something, lost the money, and blamed it on Dick and refused to speak to him for 5 years; then they started talking, but it was shortlived- they stopped talking for two years, and then they came into the BB house this year.
i like what anon 9:34 pointed out. not saying they were a jen fan [which i myself am and not afraid to admit it] but dani's character inside the game is contradictory and hypocritical; she says everyone else is a liar and schemer [granted that's part of the game] but apparently doesn't realize that she took part in that herself. not saying that this doesn't mean she does not deserve to be in the f2 [hats off to her for actually playing the game] but her cockiness and somewhat of a superiority complex in bashing the others in the house [some deserved, others not so much] is really rubbing me the wrong way. and as some people have pointed out she did leave her personal life out in the open. with all that in mind i don't blame the jury for attacking her. i don't know what jen could have possibly said or done to her [not having the live feeds] and i wouldn't put it past jen to have at least done something/s legitimate to provoke dani because she was a bit of a nut and also the situations with nick, but i've had it with that donato. fighting the urge to do some defending on jen's part i'll move on to this; when watching reality tv i try my hardest not to develop too much of an opinion on the people because it's just plain and simple - you don't know them outside of the show. but i'm disappointed and annoyed with dani and look forward to seeing dick win the game.

I know I'm a little late but I just saw that clip on youtube about Dick receiving that coded letter from Vincent. he knew the codes because they set it up before he left his home for the BB8 house, I'm wondering why on earth he wasn't penalized for that? Even though it was too late for it to mean anything it was still cheating. (I guess cheating runs in the family). I feel like they let him get away with things that no one else would have been able to. Pouring tea on Jen, and being just SO mean.

Hi C, I just wanted to leave a comment to say how much I appreciated your updates. I enjoyed keeping updated on the feeds and your editorial comments. I also appreciate the fact that you were not as anti-donatos as some of the other BB8 updaters were. I got so tired of it, and soon stopped even going to read their updates. Despite D's emotional upswings they did pull at my heart and caused me to root them on regardless how much slack I got from other family members who were anti-D's. I'm glad they made it this far and also that they are talking now. Hopefully (like yourself) that they will continue keeping talking. This BB has been awesome and has provoked so much debate by each HG and their fans either here online or in my home. We were a divided group, but I always rooted for the D's! Anyway..I enjoyed your website, your blogs, your screencaps, and sharing of video tributes. I look forward to more updates in the future!

Aeona -- Completely agree about CBS' role in all of this. I agree that DD probably would have won anyway, but don't think the other HG's were given the same courtesies on a personal level with the crew. I have written CBS re this and would like to just see all HG's treated the same by the BB crew with special favors to noone or to all.

Carolyn, thanks for all your hard work. This is my first year with live feeds and truthfully, before going on the live feeds I would always check your site first! Okay, so Dani is mad for what reason? Her dad did more for her than anyone in the game, including herself, and she is mad at him?!!! So, I understand that she won all of those competitions, but is she forgetting who won the final HOH, and who took her off of the block a few weeks ago?! Her dad did more to get her as far as she is than she did for herself, and I am sick and tired of hearing her constant whining and complaining!!!

Hello Carolyn and bloggers, I was a wee bit under the weather for a few days and sure missed coming in here. I loved the show last night how they put it together. Poor Dick crying the other night come on Dani snap out of it lol. Amber sure had her nerve calling Dani pathetic, just wait till the media gets a hold of Amber about her antics as well as Eric and Dustin starting the incest stff. They are all just sore losers at the jury house and wouldn't say anything to Dick and Dani to their face but will do it behind a camera. I would have responded to Amber just the way Dani did only after saying that I would say NEXT JURY MEMBER PLEASE hahahaha!!! how I wish Canadians could go on the show, I'd try for it. I had to crack up at Dick burning his taco shells hahahhaha, he is too funny. Have a great day everyone.
I live in Las Vegas and can't wait to personally deliver Amber a big box of Kleenex!! The jury is full of pathetic, whiny, bratty, wussy, baby, sore losers - PERIOD!! Daniele captures 2nd place due to jealousy of the jury - Dick wins first place because he's got more game then any of them!
I hope next BB has all strangers in the house, doesn't manipulate the game as they did this year, fires this year's producer for getting too personally involved, and gives us the best BB ever - because this season definitely was NOT one for of their best overall!
I absolutely love those two - I think that Dani needs to grow up and get over the past though. I see where she get the immaturity from, him. He has even said he was very immature at the time the kids were small - It apparently runs in the family. I think that he is being the best dad he knows how - nobody's dad is perfect.
Poor Amber, NOT, she did it all to herself - she IS the most pathetic person that was in that house. I just don't think even after they are our in the public, she will still get it - she is that dumb.
The fire was funny! Well, it didn't get out of control - and they didn't panic.
Dani definitely has issues she has to deal with - and hopefully she will get over the 'frustration' she has with her life. I think that Dick has proven himself, and I hope the players get to see it, he is intelligent, and actually pretty down to earth - looks are deceiving! For what he does, and likes to do, he fits right in, and his look is just fine. I like tats, the crazy hair, and the clothes - he looks like a rocker. And, some rockers make good dads - they just don't look like other dads.

Thank you so much for this season. I am a first time poster, but I thought it was necessary to express appreciation for all the hard work you did -- what a great BB resource!
I have been a D&D fan all year, and although it irks me that some people who supported Dani all year now feel the need to bash her, I guess I have realized that some people don't enjoy the show unless they have someone to despise.
Regardless, your coverage has been well-balanced and immensely entertaining -- so I truly thank you.
I really don't think the jury is scared of Dick. I just think they realized how obnoxious and shady Danielle is. The whole jury is not always bitter. Of course they're upset because everybody wants to win but this is like the lesser of 2 evils. I'm glad Dick's gonna win it. The only "good" game play I think Dani did this season was the comps but that's a very small part of the game if you think about it. She didn't even have the nerve to try to keep Nick in the game.That's just my 2 cents.
Whew! I haven't had internet access since Friday! I'm catching up on everything here...
I must say that I agree with you regarding judging D&D's relationship, Carolyn. We are outsiders here even if we think we know these two. I sure do hope they can make ammends.
...and I hope that the hate fest isn't too much for Dani to deal with when she gets out...
