Dick is Fueling up for the Assault on Zach
7:20am BBTDick woke up just a little bit ago, slammed around the kitchen some, in disgust with the ants, and has now settled into eating some cereal, and laughing to himself and talking to us about his planned assault on Zach this morning... Designed 100% to derail Zach in the Veto Comp.
Dick: Today will be a good day for internet viewers. This is the day I'm gonna call Zach out for being a racist SOB, with direct quotes from Zach... Oh come on... This is gonna be fun! Ya better take notes. Don't wanna ruin a good storyline for the show. Ain't that the truth... (talking to cameras) Well, you better not follow me around at all today, mother f'ers, cuz I'm gonna keep saying it over and over and over... and I mean it. (quoting someone) "Dick, you're such a f'in a-hole." Well, yes, I am, and at this point in the game, it doesn't really matter now, does it? Don't do it.. I'm gonna tell.. Trust me... Right before the PoV today, I'm gonna call Zach a racist m'f'er and I'm gonna have quotes to back it up, no less, to Jameka... It'll be fun... For me.

Haven't followed previous seasons on blog or feeds, so don't know this for sure. But, I suspect CBS has had more "issues" with controversy internally this season than ever before.
I was just thinking. Like him or not, Dick may have ruined his chances of ever being an All Star should there ever be another one. Would they risk bringing him back? Yes, he produces ratings, but it has to be like babysitting with him for the producers.
Personally, I think it's funny so long as I keep it in the context of the game. If it wasn't a game, would feel completely different.

I just hope the producers follow their words with actions and actually punish Dick if he says whatever it is they don't want him to say. What I've been waiting for all season. Some consequences.
And on top of that if Zach can just ignore him and not let it get to him, the tables will turn and it will be Dick that is distracted from winning veto.
Today is the day for D&D, they are so close now. One comp, and Dani is the PoV champ!
I think Dick's remarks will make Zach angry. He always talks about how he hates Dick's tactics. This could be great! If the remarks were racist, and they were about Jameka, this could upset both Zach and Jameka giving the Donatos that extra edge they need!
Do I admire this game play? Why not? It works, and the point is to win a game of social strategy. The Donatos, even if you hate the methods they employ, are doing just that.

I think Zach will be a bit annoyed, but he is not stupid and will realize what ED is doing, and will mostly ignore/laugh it off.
I am entertained by Dick's actions, but I do not in any way find them appropriate. Maybe that makes me hypocritical, I don't know. But I definately do not admire him. The wierd thing is, as controversial as he is, I can't deny that he has work hard to get where he is, and I can respect that he has played well even though I find it inappropriate.

Dick is a reality television show character. He is not my community leader, my Senator, nor is he my President. And Big Brother isn't reality. Even if youve watched the live feeds for 24/7 since the start you still don't know any of these people at all in reality. It's all constructed, contrived, and subjective. Entering a game is exceptional situation where everything is magnified and you (nor I) can ever really understand who these people are.
I prefer Dick's strategy and game play to the others for example, like the Bible-thumpers religiosity of the some. It's all about personal preference. That's all.
Cliff Cliff I need your address so i can send you a fruit basket, you sum it up better than i ever can. Why is this ok to his crap ok to people?? I really don't get it this is not game tactic its abuse.It saddens me that people can not see that. Are so desensitized that we just dont care?? One of the phrases hes talking about is Mighty White. Which is used alot here up here in the midwest and is not a slur per say to people here. I even asked because I wanted to make sure that the people I know were not offended, not like i go around saying it everyday but still when this came up i asked. I was told no if someone was looking to get mad they could see that but as a whole no. I have decided either way to never use it again but i am not playing this game!
I believe he is gonna use this because they know orginally Jam did believe Zach was rasist for some of his action before however i think at that time she was on uber alert.
If he did say the things that Dick is saying he did I dont think Zach was meaning them the way they came out kinda like some of the stuff Amber said. ( but lets not get started again on that shall we?)
At this point I don't think they will be thrown to much as they are use to things that Dick says. Unfortnately just like being abused you sort of get use to the crap they say or do and dont take so much stock in it.
What disturbs me more is peoples lack of care that he is doing these tactics and Dani knows hes gonna do them too shes been helping him think and make up things, does that not make them both racists as well by using this tactic?Can someone tell me why people think thats its ok to do this??. Even considering saying someone is racist and saying those things in the way hes gonna say them will get you stamped that as well. But he does not care hes already been branded an abuser and liar and cheater and a drunk for all his DWI's whats racist added to laundry list as well! And that people think Dani is a ok even when she plots with her dad to do this stuff boggles my mind. Yes i know its a game but there has to be some decency to this!

I am sorry i find it a sad commentary that people perfer his style of game play and think its ok for him to do what he does and his daughter condoning it and egging it on. I am sorry but when people let people continue to speak and act that way and laugh at it and think its fair game play you are condoning that behavior sayng its ok. Just because they are on tv does not make it right!
I choose to watch for other people on the show. And in the end i hope they come through!
Thanks to those of you few of who have helped me feel like I'm not alone in thinking that the excrement that comes out of that man's mouth is simply unacceptable.
Oh, and to those that suggested that he's a "character" on reality TV, which is not real ....

They are not individuals in some sort of improv group taking assigned roles and reacting as these "characters," they are humans. They may be turning up or turning down facets of their personality for this game, like it or not, this is who they are, at least in large part.
And if you're so sure that the massively sexist and generally hateful stuff he says isn't part of his actual mindset and he isn't consciously censoring himself, think what the reaction would be if he had flung the n-word at Jameka or in his attacks on Eric had thrown in some tasty anti-semeitic slurs.
And yet the people who were ready to burn Amber at the stake for her bigoted idiocy (said in a private, albeit recorded conversation) are willing to laugh off his disgusting anti-woman slurs at Jen.
So, I suppose Dick, the producers and CBS all know that it must be A-OK to call women any name you want to be a "character" to win a show, but it is most definitely *not* OK to use racist or anti-semetic language to attack a black or Jewish person to be the same "character" to advance in the game.
So, logically, it has to be either that or he really is that way.
Which is it? It has to be one of them.

I think the Donatos are both poor winners and poor losers. I don't like how they condemn others for playing the same way they play. I don't like how they think that just because they made a "deal" with Jameka she "has to" vote their way, when it will obviously not benefit her. They clearly do not honor their deals, so why should they expect anyone else to do the same? Hypocrites!
I would like to see someone whose gamemanship I can respect win this game, and neither of the Donato's qualify.
