Happy Monday Big Brother Lovers

Wow. That's the last time I'll be saying that during season 8. What a season.As I write this, the time is 6:03am BBT and after a very brief attempt at sleeping, Dick and Dani are both still awake, both in very good moods, and while Dani's giving some more effort to sleeping, Dick's gotten back up and gone outside for a smoke, apologizing to the control room, "Sorry, I can't just lie there with my eyes open. You guys gotta work."
He's smiling to himself.
All is good in BB land...
After a really rough day yesterday, Dani came around, during the east coast broadcast of the Sunday show, and they never stopped talking after that... all night long... If you'd like to see some clips, Quirkydude made quite a few last night and into the morning. There's a big gap from midnight BBT to 4am BBT because the feeds went to trivia while BB showed D&D a gag reel and perhaps a movie.
Let's hear it for fairy tale happy endings.

Dani's just gotten out of bed now too. She's gone to the kitchen... Dick comes inside and they're laughing about their failed attempt at sleeping... Dick's making them some omlettes.

Dani: From the jury? I think Dustin. He hates us both...
Dick: DO you think Zach is the most bummed?
Dani: Probably, cuz he was the closest...
Dick: He lost 50 grand. A minimum 50 grand.. Ok.. 50 grand. Jessica seemed the most bitter, even though she said she wasn't.
Dani: Who do you think's the maddest that we're in the final 2?
Dick: I dunno, maybe.. Dustin or Amber or Jen.. One of those 3.
Dani: Dustin's probably bitter and angry. Amber too, cuz they're the same person.
Dick: And every person there has a reason in their mind for their not being here.. like Eric, "You're lucky it was a fast forward week."
Dani: Right. And that's what he'll tell everyone forever.
Dick: As if we didn't have Jameka in our back pocket.
Dick looks at the memory wall.
Dick: That should be called the wall of shattered dreams.

i am glad that they are talking now, but i am afraid that if dick wins (i think and hope he will) she will be mad at him all over again. the way she treats him bothers me. she needs to realize how lucky she is to have a father that loves her and wants to be there for her.
I am so happy Dani came around and the season will end *ideally* on the better foot!

Cecilia here-Hey Carolyn I would like to thank you for all the updates that you provided us over this season! You did a great job!
You never know. She may get it. They may make it look like she wasnt going to and their way to get back at dick (which honestly I really dont think he would give a crap, because that would be Dani would get it. And he loves her and would be super happy about that) was to make him feel like he got it and rip it away from him. I honestly dont care which one gets it. I think they both played the game great. Maybe different than each other, but they played it none the less. I think this is a start to a wonderful father daughter relationship again. She is young, she will grow up and realize that life is too short. I try not to judge her actions with her father in this house, because I honestly dont know how I would react if I didnt talk to my dad for 2 years and was suddenly thrown into a house that you cant leave for as long as they have been. Being in BB house is emotional as it is, now try throwing in this to the mix..

Air Guitar Still Isn’t Cool

I had an image in my head of Dick Donato as a 15 year old standing on his bed doing air guitar. It could be a sweet image of a boy becoming a man, a rebel of righteousness amping up to take on the world and its wrongs. That image was quickly shattered by a time warped, heavy metal throw back air guitar playing, quick tempered halfwit bully who struts around blowing smoke rings hamming it up for the cameras, bandana wearing, chain wallet Neanderthal.
Dick isn’t about truth or standing up and being counted. He is about so many things, but truth seeking enlightenment isn’t one of them.
A grown man who publicly humiliates and degrades a 23 year old young woman for his own amusement isn’t about truth. A grown man who is a racist, bigoted, homophobe isn’t about truth. He is about being a bully and a tyrant.
Any human being that would wish the death of a young woman because he happens to disagree with her personality is not playing a game, but instead showing you the black pit of his soul. Any human being that would threaten to rape people until they bleed is not playing a game.
Game play would mean his tirades would be a tool he used and could control when not needed. He can’t. His tirades and fits continue, even when no one else is around. He continues on with his name calling and nasty comments long after their supposed purpose. I could barely stomach his putrid earnestness when he issued his apologies for the worst of his behavior. He was only doing what he had to do? No, he was doing what came natural to him. He just happened to hit the lottery and this time his natural vileness fit into the story line.
The truth of the matter is that every thing he has said about any of the other people in the house is really true about him.
It is really disturbing to see that he has fans. I will never understand anyone who thinks what he does is good game play, but worse yet are the people that like what he does. The most ridiculous item of the week has to be the articles about Julie Chen revealing that Dick is one of her favorite houseguests. What? Even after blatantly saying in her exit interview with, Kale I believe, that Dick was abusive, she is still a fan? I am floored. I wonder if she would still be a fan if she were locked up with him 24/7 and he decided to turn on her. How long would she think he is interesting if his racist, sexist comments were thrown her way?
I don’t want him expelled. That would be wrong given the situation in its entirety. They are all adults that did sign contracts and went in knowing that this could happen to them. Jen, and the rest of them, need to put on their big kid pants and own up to the fact that they are not completely without some responsibility. I do hope that all of the people who are up in arms about Donato will make it a point to support Jen and others. She has heard enough about all of her, real or imagined, faults, I am sure she could use some positive comments.
There are so many cool things in this beautiful and complex world. Simple pleasures, wondrous moments, dressing up in your finest, having a really good laugh, debating a difference of opinion with a worthy adversary, all of these things and many more are so awesome and cool, but man, air guitar just ain’t one of them.

O.k., although we are not into defending our choices, this one we will.
The reason he talks to people the way he does and the reason his language is as it is, is because that was ALL part of his game and it worked. And if you checked any and pretty much all BB fan sites as well as CBS he is probably the MOST popular Houseguest ever on BB. But what makes him anymore unpalatable than any of the other Houseguests???
They ALL had their faults and where he played this game HIS way, that makes it any more "wrong" than anyone else's?? Plus, his trying to resurrect his relationship with his daughter
Zach - Rode on everyones coat tails and ADMITTED it and had NO game play whatsoever. He thought he would just be able to coast into the final 2 without doing a thing after he and everyone else got busted with the "Mrs. Robinson" alliance the 3rd week. Although he tried to end strong, he came up short because he had no game play.
Jameka - The biggest hypocrite, along with Amber that was in the house. Where Dick made no bones about where he stood and never lied to anyone, she sat there and read her bible, prayed, and talked about God, but then went out and cussed like a sailor and drank on National TV. NOW I am not saying that I or anyone else is any better than she, because we all fall, but that is what crushed her in the game, and gave her AND Christianity a bad name in the eyes of the viewers.
Eric - Even though we liked Eric, and he was crippled by being Americas Player, his game suffered because he made his self to MUCH of a threat, AND let everyone know it, eventually getting himself evicted.
Jessica - She as well made her self to much of a threat, and was doing well at first, but when she started running between sides and then her behavior the last two weeks, pretty much setting herself aside from half the house was not good game play and got her evicted as well.
Amber - The House Guest that will probably catch the wrath of the American public for a LONG time. She had NO game play. She would run her mouth and then cry and cry some more and then some more, which made her look like the worst mom ever after just being out of rehab 4 months and lying to CBS about it. And then swearing on the life of her daughter????? What kind of mom does that????? Sitting around talking about God, and then cussing like she had just stepped out of a bar??? And then telling God to bless himself??? Theres the reason she was evicted, she was just plain dumb and made herself vulnerable by her actions and words.
Jen - She made herself a threat the FIRST DAY with those stupid t-shirts. She was on there for HER and the exposure. Like, she is going to be some kind of a star once she leaves this show???? Please. Although she had game, her running between alliances and telling them lies, and eventually being busted on it, is what sold her down the river...along with going PSYCHO the last week.
Dustin - His pompous, arrogant attitude is what finally did him in. Where he thought he had everyone on a string, the one who might win this game, Dick, was able to pull just the right levers, and get people to see Dustin EXACTLY for what he is, which finally got him evicted. And if I do say so myself, the look on his face the night he got evicted was PRICELESS!! HAHAHHAHA!!!!!
I'm not going to go into the rest of them, because they don't matter anyway, because they are not on the jury.
Everyone is entitled to their own opinion, but what makes yours any better than ours...agree to disagree. Thats what makes this country GREAT!!!!

You don't know how happy I was to see that Dani was still talking to her dad.I was really worried that she was going to be upset with him forever again.She has to know her dad would never intentionally hurt her.I hope she still is as forgiven when he wins the 1/2 million.

Playing a game Dick's way is one way to go. I would not play the game that way even for half a million dollars. How would Dick feel if one of the HG's said to Dani as "gameplay" I want to rape you until you bleed. Do you think he would take it personally or say "hey it's one way to play the game!"

I think there are things i wouldn't do even for money. Dick is the one who lives with himself.
How does he know jen has ever been raped or not? or attempted rape? or her mothers been raped? etc
To show such a low level of respect for another human being as to threaten to rape them isn't worth money in my opinion.
if it is to dick than he is a person i would not chose to win half a million dollars. nor would i hold up as a hero and a champion.

my original point is dick tries to say it's all game but if it were on such a personal level as someone saying "i am going to rape you until you bleed" and got in dani's face like that i think he might have taken it so personally he would have punched that person. he can dish it out but like school yard bully's he can;t take it. eg. zach betrayed them? they betrayed E/J it's both game. but when shoe is on other foot they take it personally
O.k., have you seen him take it personally, or is that just YOUR perception??? It is ALL game whether YOU or anyone else has taken that way. His reaction to the same statement made towards Dani, who knows, but neither you or Miss Cleo knows what his reaction would be, so why even MAKE the statement other than you were bullied as a youngster and have issues still stemming from it. Agree to disagree....once again, but why make such BROAD statements on something neither YOU or I will EVER know.
I am speculating and know I don't KNOW it but as an armchair quaterback I could see it happening based on my observations.
If you are willing to threaten to rape a woman until they bleed what boundries if any do you have to what you will do for money? Would you take it from talk to physical action? Someone who is capeable of "anything for money" will be willing to go how far?

Whether game or not, Dick comes of as a horrible human bing with no morals. I agree with Zach when he says, "I disagree with your tactics, but they worked."
A word like rape is a very strong word. Pouring tea on someone and blowing smoke in someone's face are inappropriate, regardless if they were in retaliation.
I agree with that article even though they say its game....it comes from inside him. I am sure its not just Dani that has broken that relationship. He has most likely had his hand in it as well. They are both at fault.

That just doesn't make sense. Would like to see some return to the game discussion and not all this hate on these posts. We all like different people for different reasons, but that's ok.

If Dick did this on the street then its one thing, but its a game and he was in a controlled environment!!!! Lets not forget the mean things Dustin, Eric, Jamika and Amber all said to him or others in the house. Dick just played the game the same all season.
Everyone has their limits when it comes to trying to win money. They know what to say to win it and break people down. Its only talk, something we are able to do. They (other houseguest) could have talked back and give it right back to him. Look what happened when Zach did it during the round 1 of the final HOH game.
$500,000 might not be a lot for some (me not included) but to some it can change their life for the good. That's what its going to do for D&D. Dick did what he felt he had to do to win BB and I think, from a GAME point of view, did a great job!
Biskit, What Studiod2b said about the possible reactions by Dick if someone had made the same comments (of raping her til she bled) towards Dani has merit.
Considering his behavior towards Jen for just voicing an opinion about his daughter TO his daughter clearly shows that the likelihood of violent retaliation goes more towards probability than possibility.
I concur with the assessment that if his actions in the house were merely gameplay, then weeks later we would not still be hearing him rag on the same player (who has long been gone) and hearing him curse her and say how much he hates her. At the very least concerning Jen, his "game" was personal.
I watched them last night and it was such happiness in the house. I loved how Dani tried to dress and decorate the 'trees' inside. I saw the sweet side of Dani again that has been missing since Nick was in the house. She's very witty and funny when she's happy.
I realy do have hope for these two and it warms my sappy heart. ;-)

I LOVE DICK.
I THINK DICK IS A GOOD LOOKING GUY... even if I'd prefer him not to have all those rings and tattoos. Can't stand his smoking and spitting. But who is perfect. He played a cruel but effective game. Nobody got hurt... and if they did... they should have stayed out of the kitchen.
I love Dick because he's trying to have a relationship with his daughter... and that is more than many out there... including those who are the opposite of this 'a time warped, heavy metal throw back air guitar playing, quick tempered halfwit bully who struts around blowing smoke rings hamming it up for the cameras, bandana wearing, chain wallet Neanderthal'. I believe Dick will understand the difference b/w Game and Real Life. "Sticks and stones may break my bones... but words will never hurt me". Maybe BB needs to take another look at the psyche of potential contestants... because if they can't deal... don't apply.

Dick needs no approval from haters. He says he doesn't care... because he knows what he is about and he knows how him being in this world is a benefit.

I am sure that the comments that other HG made about him and his daughter doing it and dani being pregnant by fall with her dads baby was alright. (sarcastic) The thing is, other HG made comments about dick too. But they didnt have the balls to say it to his face. He did. Yes, it was game play. Why is he still talking about it? Well you try to be stuck in a house 24/7 with nothing else to do or nothing else to talk about. The jury is probably talking about him too. So what. That is how it goes. Everyone has faults. No ones perfect. What makes others faults any better than his?

Im sorry, but I have read and reread the blogs, and unless I am mitaken NO ONE has referred to Dick as a "HERO"..and I am tired of some people deciding they have the right to judge me by the simple fact that I am glad he made it to the final two.
Dick never pretended to be anything he wasnt, which Im sure some other HGs wish they could say. Was he a bully at times? ..sure was, sexist?..maybe..but lets pay attention to the show before we start throwing "racist" "bigoted" and "homophobe" into the name calling.
Maybe its easy for some people who come from "Leave it to Beaver" families to judge Dick and his behavior and maybe its because I dont that can see Dick for what he is, a "rough around the edges" guy who is handling being in that house the only way he knows how. It might not always be pretty, crosses the line occasionally..but if I were given the choice of a housefull of EDs, or a housefull of Jamekas or Ambers, give me full on ED thank you very much. Give me the "Evel" I know, versus the evil I dont any day.

Well, here we are at the end of another great season! I am sad for it to end, but happy for the Donatos! They need to keep talking - it is the only way to keep a relationship going. My first choice since the beginning, and that is before I was watching, and just reviewing their profiles, was Dick! I am so glad he will (most likely) win. Funny thing is, my second pick was Amber! LMAO! I really tried to like her, in fact I thought she kind of cute looking! She blew that out of the water - her insides and her outsides were very strange. I just couldn't like her. My third pick was ewww, Dustin. Daniele wasn't even in the top five for me. All of my choices, except for Dick have changed since the beginning. He needs to continue being the best father he can be for her - maybe some day she will grow up to be a big girl, and realize that. I hope so. They did make a great team - when it was good she was really a good loving daughter! When it wasn't so good, she was the pouting, bratty, whiny little pre-pubescent girl. Definitely not a sign of a grown young woman, but, she is getting there. Good luck to both of them!! CONGRATULATIONS TO THE DONATOS!

haha Studio, Jessica and Eric were planning on betraying Dick and Dani anyway so it looks good on the two of them that Dick and Dani beat them to the punch.
Somehow I do not think Dick will care all that much about the negative comments he receives! I think he has far more fans than haters.. why would he care what a bunch of people who don't matter in his life think.
I can't wait for tomorrow's show... So DICK CAN WIN IT ALL!! :)
