Big Brother 8 The Overnight/Earrrrrly Morning Report

When I woke up at 7:15 eastern, most of the HGs were still awake and very actively talking game. My first thought: "Guys! Don't you know the rules here? Go to sleep, so I can do the overnight report! You're killin' me." My next thought: "lol.. poor Eric. the only way he'll get his task done tonight is if he really can sleep walk!"

Without further ado, here's the important stuff from last night:

Daniele: I'd put up Zach and Jen.
Jameka: Amber, you should put Jen and Zach up, then Kail as the replacement, if necessary.

Daniele: What about the whole Nick thing?
Jameka: I think her jealousies & self-centeredness can get in the way of her game, but if Nick weren't here, she'd be 100% game.
Daniele: So... do you think she should be the first of them to go?
Jameka: I think so.
Daniele: Yeah, I agree.
Daniele: If I get H0H, I am going to kill them, Jameka! But I don't really want HoH... I already have a huge target on me... I'm just not going to let any of them get it!

Daniele: I feel like we're really close, but I don't know what's going on between him and other people. He seems good with a lot of people.

Jen: You mean the girls?
Nick: Yeah.

Zach comes over and says do you want me over here?

Amber: That's the 4th or 5th time I've heard that today!!

***Jen's exasperated. This is the tail end of a long, repetitive conversation, and all Joe's done is solidify her position to nominate him.

Joe: You would prefer to keep someone that has been caught in bold-faced lies?? Over someone that is true to you?
Jen: Yes. You say whatever I want, but I am not going to put him up.
Jen: Why would I put him up when he's going to be put up by everyone next week?
Joe: 150% that is not true.
Jen: 100% it's true.

Jen: Why would I put up Zach when he's not going to put me up next week?

Jen: Joe keeps asking me "why would you do that Jen?"
Jen: I'm a really strong person, and I'm not going to give-in to someone like Joe that is constantly trying to question me about my decisions.

At 5:45am BBT, Amber comes down from the HoH room and her hours long session with Jen. Dick and Jameka are still up. lol. I think Dick's just waiting for them to go to sleep, so he can have his nightly ritual with us. Small talk with Amber about her date and good fortune with the slop pass. Jen's in her towel up on the HoH landing, talking about how they should all be handcuffed together at some point, even just for fun.

By the way, in the interest of fairness, Jen was really very likable during her conversation with Amber just now... As evil as she's been, when she lets her massive walls down and drops the Valley Girl speech patterns, she's more than bearable.

Dick: What a great day! This day was very very good to me. This nomination was very very easy for me. I hope that they're all this easy, but I doubt it.

Easy?? I've never seen so much hardcore gaming in any season of Big Brother!

Fire up the feeds folks! :) It's gonna be a great day in the BB house. Should be a veto ceremony today, and if all goes as planned we're gonna see DRAMA, DRAMA, DRAMA when Joe hears his name.

What a great afternoon in the BB house. I got so caught up in the conversation between Dick and Jen, I felt like I was watching a movie. It was just the 2 of them in the backyard, and the talk was very open, no holds barred, brutally honest, and very private. Every time one of the other HGs tried to come out to use the pool or the jacuzzi or whatever, Dick shooed them back inside. lol.

I love how he commands such respect within the house that with 5 words or less, Dick can enforce a virtual lockdown on the rest of the HGs, and they just respect it. No complaints. No questions asked. Just, ok, no problem... for about an hour... maybe a little more.

Hopefully they show him the same respect during the Eviction voting.

Anyhow, after the big showdown, I finally got out for a couple hours long bike ride along the ocean. Just got home, (5:30BBT) and what do I return to? More Step/Stomp lessons from Jameka for Kail on 2 of the feeds. Too funny. Go white girl! Go white girl! Go!

And for my personal viewing pleasure, Nick (and others) in the jacuzzi on the other 2...

Get ready for another night of serious gaming, folks. Dani will be using that veto to remove herself from the nomination loveseat, so just about everyone is doing some serious politicking tonight.

Big Brother 8 Veto Update #2

Jen's reign of terror. Be afraid. Be very afraid.

The tension in the house is incredibly thick.

After a private conversation with Jen up in the HoH, during which he challenged every pot she tried to stir up, Joe has now crawled up Jen's tush and wedged himself firmly, trying to save himself from being nominated, should either of the nominees win veto. He's doing this by attacking Dick.

The hostilities are flying in every direction.

Yeesh.

For a woman who says she wants to rid the house of all negativity, she sure knows how to stir it up with a smile.

Big Brother 8 Veto Update #1

The feeds cut out for quite a while. They're back now, and the Veto Comp has not happened yet. They were getting instructions and learning who would be competing. Nick and Dani are in bed talking about who she can trust... not so sure about Dustin anymore, but Nick's gonna talk to him.

Further, Nick is being his extremely charming self, flirting and re-assuring Dani at every moment.

Amber's in tears. She's been chosen to play in the PoV, and she's worried about being put up if she doesn't win it. Dustin wants to make sure she'll keep the noms the same. She says she will.

Jen joins them, and apparently she must have made some sort of threat against the other players to put up the closest friend or alliance of anyone who tries to intentionally take her out, or tries to help either of the nominees.

Scary chick.

Jen: I just want the nominations to stay the same.

Jen leaves them.

Amber resumes crying to Dustin. She's petrified to the point of hyperventilating, and Dusting is helping her to breathe.

Dustin: Why is Jen demanding rules for her veto competition. That's f'd up. That's f'd up. She can't do that.

***Unfortunately, it seems she can, and she did.
We have underestimated this woman beyond all belief.

Dustin: Just play and play fair. That's all you can do.
Amber: You make me feel so much better. You have no idea.

Last night was full of secrets and revelations. For starters, around 11:30pm BBT, Nick came out to Dani about the Mrs. Robinson alliance! In case anyone was doubting his loyalty to her, you can stop that right now.

Nick: I was approached the first day, and I agreed to join, because if I didn't I was immediately a target.
Nick: I trust you, and I want you here so bad, and I like you so much.
Nick: My plan is to get Zach and Kail up.
Dani: You can't nominate them!

Nick explains to Dani how Kail, Mike and Zach are using Jen.

Nick: I trust you so much.

Nick: I wanted to bring you in with Mrs. Robinson, but I was approached by Mike, Kail and Zach, and they told me they can't trust me!
Nick: They shouldn't.
Nick: They tried to tell me you're playing me. I played along with it. I don't trust them at all. I need to keep you around this week, and till the end.
Nick: I'm here to throw a monkey wrench into everyone's sh*t.

Nick: I want Kail or Zach or Mike up next week, so we can squash their alliance, because they have strength in numbers.
Nick: Dani, You can't tell anyone about this.
Dani promises she wont.
They pinkie-swear and each kisses their *own* hand.

Nick: I kinda trust Mike, but I heard Kail doesn't trust me, so I'm over her. I don't want to associate with her at all, and I don't trust Zach as far as I can throw him.
Dani: You can find out who they will vote for.
Nick: I think the plan is to evict you.

Nick: It sucks, because I don't want Dick to go either. Ideally I'd like Joe to go.
Nick: I don't trust the Mrs. Robinson crew at all.

BB8 Houseguests Believe This is Double Eviction Week - Fear Veto is Saturday Morning

It's nearly 10pm BBT, and the plotting and scheming hasn't stopped all night. This is going to be a very hot week on the feeds, ... as in "that's hot." Now stop looking up Jen's displayed crotch, and

read the update.

I've been laying low tonight, giving the post for Bekah (just below) plenty of time on the top of the blog, and just watching and taking everything in.

Daniele is taking her nomination remarkably well. Dick, less so. Watching Dick this week should be very entertaining, as he is cursing Jen left and right, and will likely lose it all over her with just the slightest provocation. Apparently he was flipping her off during the Nomination Ceremony, and he's been calling her everything in the book ever since.

Interestingly, a lot of the plotting and scheming has dealt with who everyone would like to put up next week. As far as Amber and Dustin are concerned, Kail and Zach are their prime targets.

The houseguests are pretty well convinced that this is going to be a double eviction week. Their reasoning stems from the fact that they had 2 big things today: the food comp and nominations; and BB has told them they will be woken up tomorrow morning at 7am BBT.

Why on earth would BB wake the HGs at 7am on a Saturday if there wasn't something big going down?

Dustin is planning his Veto win speech already. lol. Should he win the veto he believes will take place tomorrow, he will not use it, and he will tell them both he's very sorry, it was a very hard decision, but he cannot be the one to break up a family.

***I fail to see the logic there. If he takes one off, the other has a chance of survival... Whatever! And if he truly wants Zach out so badly, that would be the perfect opportunity to do it. Backdoor Zach, you twit!

So... that in a nutshell is a brief glimpse into what is going on tonight.

Will this truly be a double eviction week? Conventional wisdom suggests not. It's rather a bit early for that, but it's also Big Brother, and we've all learned to expect the unexpected. Perhaps instead they'll have a luxury comp of some sort. Or perhaps BB's just messing with the houseguests. It wouldn't be the first time. The only thing that's certain is we will be here blogging it.

The HGs have to be up at 7am, so I'm going to get some rest too! Thank you all for coming to the blog. It's amazing... we've already had more hits in the first week of this season than we did all last season. Amazing and a bit overwhelming. Thank you for coming and thank you for your support!

Jen said during the Nomination Ceremony that if someone should win the Veto Comp and choose to use it to take off one of her nominees, that she will put Joe up. She intentionally placed his key last, because he needs to work on his attitude.

Big Brother this Afternoon

As of 3:15BBT, the nominations have not been made yet, but the talk about them on the feeds hasn't stopped. At this moment, Nick is up in the HoH talking to Jen, trying to solidify his position, and trying to suss out what she's thinking.

Listening to Jen chat with different HGs all day, I've noticed something rather significant. She changes her speech patterns and vocabulary to accommodate every new person. Not such a dumb cookie after all.

The jury's still out, but so far, although I'm reasonably certain I will not like her nominations - likely Dick and Daniele - I have to commend her game play today, and to be fair, whether we like her or not, she's there to play the game just like everyone else.

The HGs feel that the nomination ceremony is going to be very soon, and as soon as it's over, we'll know on the feeds just who's going up for elimination this week.

Feeds are BackFood Comp's Done

They didn't show the food comp, but the good news is, the feeds are now back on, and the real game is being played. As always with Big Brother, the real game is played during the interactions that can only be seen on the live feeds.

The HGs are all over the place: out in the backyard talking about the comp; in the storage room foraging for food, and in the bedrooms. Half the house is now on slop again. Joe is among them. Dick is not.

The food comp sounds like it had something to do with knowing the ingredients of certain things, and it was a team comp... Dani's in tears. I get the feeling she feels like she may have blown it for her team. That and she's on slop again...


*And* she's probably getting nominated tonight. Rough Day!

Daniele: She's gonna nominate me and my dad. I know it. She wouldn't even look at me just now when she passed me in the hall.

Trouble in BB8 Showmance Paradise, Already?

Nick and Joe are in bed together again in the tiny bed room. They were spooning a little, then laying there side by side. There is trouble in Nick-Daniele paradise.

Nick: Zach said that Dustin told him that Daniele's using me.

***Information Dustin got from Zach,
who is completely gunning for Daniele.

Joe: I wonder why she'd tell him that.
Nick: I don't know, but she was acting all weird around me this morning.

***I'm guessing that's guilt over the early morning snuggle, if she really does have a boyfriend outside of the house.

Joe: We're all using each other. For example, I'm using you for your muscle. You're using me for my brains.

DANIELE ENTERS

Nick: Are you all better?
Daniele: I was never un-better.
Nick: Pinky swear?
Daniele: I don't want to.
Nick: Blowin' off the pinky swear?
Daniele: Whatever...

DANIELE EXITS

UPDATE:

Later on, around 1ish BBT, after rather a strained morning between Nick and Daniele, Nick takes the bull by the horns, and asks Dustin what exactly he said. Dustin tells Nick it was not infact him who said it, but Zach, and reminds Nick that he barely ever talks to Daniele, so why would she confide in him, and more importantly, Zach is always trying to stir up trouble, and he started this rumor all by himself. Nick agrees, recalling how Zach actually woke him from a sound sleep to tell him. I believe Nick may be questioning the wisdom of his alliance.

Nick then progresses to talk to Daniele, and they patch things up, and make an agreement that no matter what they hear about the other, they can and do trust one another, and they have to understand that people are going to try to stir up problems just for the sake of the game. Here's an excerpt:

Nick: Daniele, trust me.
Daniele: I really hate this corner.
Nick: It's a weird day, huh? A weird day 11. What got me was this morning, you know? I didn't know because you just up and left and didn't say anything. So I mean those are your own thoughts and you can figure them out and I will just sit in the sidelines. Think about whatever you need to think about. Is that what you want to do? Just chill out and don't worry about it.
All you need to know is that I think you are beautiful, and you are the bee's knees, or the cat's meow. Anything else you want to talk about, or have me talk about, and you not say anything?

Nick: ok, I'm gonna go get something to eat.

Rather a rough day for both of them so far, but things are looking up.

The best part in all of this: Zach's busted.

Nick is at this moment conferring with others as to Zach's trustworthiness.
First Amber, and now, more importantly, Mike, a member of his own alliance.
Yup. It's for real.

The time to tune into the feeds is NOW.

As of 2:30BBT, Nick surprises Daniele out in the backyard, leans over her where she's lying on the grass, takes a deep whiff, and says, I just wanted to smell your hair. He's now talking to Dani and Joe (who's tanning out there with her) about Zach and his general lack of trustworthiness... cutting all these 2 week protection deals with people.

All the BB8 HGs are UpThe Voting Starts at 10am

Game on! The houseguests are all up and having coffee, showering and primping for their Diary Room Vote Sessions. Dick's taking waffle orders. Such a mensch.

The voting starts at 10am today, so we ought to find out as the day goes on just who really is OUT... if the houseguests are honest when talking about it to each other.

Can't wait!! Time to fire up the feeds if you've gottem, and gettem if you don't!

Big Brother 8 Elimination Voting Day is Today

Last night on the live feeds was just intense. There was so much maneuvering going on, you just didn't know which way to turn. Sure, there was the typical last minute make sure I've got a majority of the votes run by Carol, and the less typical Amber getting smashed on the side of the face by an errant tether ball, but far more interesting was the interplay between the other Houseguests, and there was plenty of it. SO much so that as of right now, it's safe to say that the real Big Brother 8 has officially started, and it's gonna be a hell of a season.

These are people who really know the game. People like Dustin and Zach made it very clear last night, as they kinda came out to each other (not *that* way) as serious students of the game. There they were, on the teacup, in a very intense, slowly spinning, 90 minute conversation about the current nominations and beyond. I just couldn't take my eyes off of them, and it was 3am. Talk about a well chosen set piece. Monster kudos to the Set Designer. I felt like I was watching a Hitchcock film. Just brilliant.

Who's voting for who, what are the alliances, and what's the future beyond tomorrow's elimination. Zach and Dustin even color coded all the HGs, so as not to audibly refer to anyone by name. lol. The conversation really made me wonder if Zach may be dumping his hastily made Mrs. Robinson alliance for something stronger with Dustin, or, conversely, was Dustin just played like a fiddle by a master of the game? I'm hoping for the former, but fearing the latter. Either way, game on!

Tuesday Evening in the Big Brother House

Carol is working the vote hard tonight. She's getting promises from some, but who knows who's actually telling the truth and who just wants her to go away, so they'll say anything? She spent quite a lot of time with Eric, who isn't even in control of his vote, and was decent enough to tell her he's still working it out in his mind as to who to vote for.

My head is spinning! The live feeds are hopping with game play and strategy tonight. What seemed a sure thing may get blown out of the water during the voting tomorrow. yes, the actual voting will be filmed tomorrow, Wednesday, and the results will be known live on Thursday night by the tv audience and the HGs... unless we're able to gather enough from the live feeds to figure it out sooner, which is always an excellent possibility.

I found it quite interesting that what they showed on the CBS broadcast tonight is completely the opposite of the truth. Kail may have said once a few days ago that she wanted Carol out, but she's been pushing her alliance to oust Amber ever since. The boys, however, have all been pretty strong behind Amber, with the possible exception of Zach. Typical editing misdirection for drama from the production company and the network.

Tonight, however, things are swinging yet again, and oddly enough back in the direction production was trying so hard to mis-lead the tv only's with...

Kail: "So, who are you guys voting?"
Mike: Keep Carol.
Nick: Keep Carol.
Kail: Zach too?
They both say yes.
Kail: Well, ok then.

Of course, this could change again in the next 5 minutes.

Hey... you get what you pay for. ;) Although, with the 2 weeks free deal on the feeds, it just doesn't make sense not to gettem and be fully in the loop, instead of being spoon-fed whatever story the production company wants to feed you.

Just my 2 cents.

A Deal for Carol?

Stepping off to the side of the backyard to have a bit of privacy, Zach and Carol are in deep conversation, and he's just offered her a deal, which she has accepted:

"I will do my best to keep you safe this week, if you vote how I say for the next two weeks."

Also included in the deal is that sould Carol win HoH, she cannot put Zach up.

Carol agreed immediately, and Zach said, ok, let me give it some thought. So, Zach isn't fully committed to his own deal yet, but he has her on the ropes. Wisely, Zach also has not divulged his alliance to her.

Carol let slip that she's going to fight to stay, because she was told to fight. Then the feeds were cut for a moment, so conventional wisdom suggests it was production that instructed her to fight for herself, to make it a more interesting game.

Carol's now running through who's votes she thinks she has, but I wont bore you with it, since everyone lies to everyone, what does it matter?

**At 2:35pm, Zach and Mike are conferring in the Gym. Mike is going to offer Carol the same deal, and if she accepts, it proves she's not trustworthy, and will not get the votes from either of them...

Big Brother 8 Veto Ceremony Today Very Soon!

The Veto Ceremony should begin in just under 90 minutes. If you turn on the live feeds now, you'll be able to catch everyone primping to get ready for it, and, more importantly, you'll be among the first to know if Daniele uses the Power of Veto to save either Amber or Carol from the nomination/eviction chair.

It's doubtful at this point, but I'm really hoping she shocks us all and goes for it!

Typically, on the live feeds, they'll show the set-up for the Veto Ceremony, and everyone getting gathered together in the room, and the introduction made by the current owner of the Power of Veto... Come check it out!

At the moment, Nick and Zack are on the couch in the bathroom, watching Daniele do her hair, and Carol's in the shower. Zach's kidding around with Nick asking him to leave some of the women for the rest of the guys in the house. Everyone else is in the kitchen area.

As of 3pm, it becomes clear that people are aware of the Mrs. Robinson alliance. Amber & Dustin are in the Storage Room.
Amber: I'm working Mike hard.
Dustin: I noticed the "Mrs. Robinson" alliance got up early and had lots
of time alone this morning to talk.
Amber: We need to keep Dick safe. We need his vote. We (Amber, Dustin and Dick) are smart, too, but we need to get the "smart" people like Kail, Mike and Zach OUT.

Daniele enters the Storage room, and they leave. Subtlety is not their forte.

Morning Strategy Session of the BB8 Mrs. Robinson Alliance

9:50am BBT on the live feeds. We have a meeting of the Mrs. Robinson Alliance.

Zach: Carol was working me hard last night to stay. She thinks she has Daniele.

The MRA discusses how Daniele is actually voting Amber, because Nick has Daniele in his pocket, and the MRA (Kail,Mike,Zach,Nick) are all keeping Amber.

They discuss the possible benefits of swinging the votes for Carol - to make Carol indebted to them, to help them later in the game. The MRA is also concerned that Amber could be voted back into the house in 4 weeks.

As multi-person alliances are wont to do, they then argue the other direction in favor of keeping Amber. Their main concern is the Alliance of the 6 enemies, which they're not even sure exists. If they choose in favor of keeping Carol, there would still be 6 enemies. If they evict Carol, there will only be 5, so the numbers just make sense. The MRA is safer with it being 5 v 4, rather than 6 v 4.

They continue the conversation and agree that, besides them, Dustin is the strongest player in the house.

Kail: Dustin has the charm. He has a lot going for him. I think he should be our target next week.
Kail: Everybody likes him. I want to try to get him out before he gains any more momentum.

Mike and Kail then weigh the options of going to Carol with a 1 or 2 week deal and getting Amber out this week, primarily because of her ties to Dustin, and because she somehow expects to be saved without having to make any deals.

Kail: I'm excited about our alliance. I think we can make a run for it to the end.

Kail: The rest of the HG's stay up all night, so we (Kail, Mike, Zack) should go to bed early, and that way we can have our morning strategy sessions.

Both Mike and Zach agree.
